My wife took me here as a surprise birthday weekend away. We stayed in Room 3 - The Seagull room. The bed was really comfy, the shower was adequate and the room was lovely and warm. Our meals were taken in the restaurant railway carriage and the little lamp lit tables made our time there all the more lovely. The...

A novel idea which could be executed better. That said, we would consider returning. A real novelty - living in converted railway carriages alongside the East Coast Mainline. The small lobby / bar area which opens up into two distinct dining areas is pleasant and packed with appropriate memorabilia, but has limited seating areas. This is a bit of a...

Just returned from an overnight stay at this hotel, everything about our stay was first class. The setup is unique and an experience we thoroughly enjoyed. As it was Valentines night it was a set menu but it had a good choice for starters and mains and the dining room setting was beautiful. It's well worth staying here even if...

A lovely warm welcome from people who could not do enough to ensure our stay was pleasant. The rooms are small, but clean and warm. The dining room was amazing, and the food well cooked and presented and service was prompt and friendly. Breakfast was taken 'trackside' in a lovely conservatory which is an experience! The small glitches we encountered...

Originally I imagine this was a secret that the train enthusiast kept to themselves. Addomadation is within the pullman carragies accessed from the bar area. don't expect massive rooms it reminded us of caravan holidays :) The resteraunt is simply beautiful and the food could not be faulted. Would definately stay again

We stayed here using a Groupon Voucher for one night -dinner bed and breakfast. My husband is a railway enthusiast so this was a perfect Christmas gift for him. The place is covered in railway memorabilia- signs, pictures, and model trains so ideal. The rooms are in converted railway carriages to the right with the bar area and conservatory in...

Stayed for 2 nights at the start of February and had a great time at the Sidings. Food was first class and service immaculate. The meal on the first night was included in the deal we had, but we chose to return from York on the second night to eat in the restaurant as we had enjoyed the previous meal...
