These have been developed to create the ultimate railway experience. Part of the carriages have been converted in to a dining area, allowing tables of four to overlook the track. Other carriages at this unique venue have been converted in rooms, allowing guests to stay and enjoy The Sidings overnight.

    I'm trying to choose a room and the room we'd like is facing the railway tracks. How noisy is it please?
    We stayed in a room right next to the track and didn’t find the noise a problem at all , it was a novelty and lovely to watch all the trains going past . They don’t run so often in the night , we hardly noticed them .

    Has anyone bought the gift card? or £99 gift package voucher? If so how long do you have before it expires please? Is it a gift card that they post out or do you print it at home? I have tried filling in the on line enquiry form and contacting the hotel via social media but have not had any replies which isn't reassuring! Thank you

    are there any near by bus stations or train stations into York itself? how much is the average taxi into York? thank you
