Stayed for 5 nights (2 adults and 2 children).

What we liked: Everything!

The Beach:
4km long, white sand, clear water, the waves are not too rough so it's safe enough for children to play. It's clean and the hotel cleans the beach every day. You may walk to Koh Rong village, around 30 minutes along the beach and through the forest for a change of scenery.

The Hotel:
2 pools, one for small children and another for those perhaps wanting a swim. The water was warm and there is quite a lot of shade too.

The rooms are not huge, but, perfect for a family of 4 with 2 large double beds. There is a ceiling fan, AC, small fridge and a kettle. Everything worked. Hot water in the shower, takes time to arrive but never had an issue.

The Restaurant:
On the beach, overlooking the ocean, caters for those with specific requirements (Vegan++) and the staff will look and ask for the ingredients if they are not sure. Main meals are between $5 to $7. Drinks are not expensive. Breakfast was pretty good too!

WIFI - no issues, I was able to stream NETFLIX.

How to get there:
Take the boat from Sihanoukville to 4K beach, around 40 minutes. As you walk off the pier turn left onto the paved foot-path and you'll find the resort there. 1 min from the Pier.

We’re a couple staying for 2 nights. The hotel is ideally located on long set beach there’s a couple of bars and restaurants nearby. The room is clean comfortable. The breakfast is good with Asian and western choices. The service is outstanding, they collected us from pier, carried our bags back and to pier and arranged free boat to koh toch. The also let us check out late. Quick check in/out. The facilities are good and the pool is nice. The beach is white powder sand and the hotel staff are always clearing the sand. We didn’t eat at the hotel- I recommend checking the other reviews. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stopped for 2 nights after staying in the building site Sihanoukville.

We caught the fast but choppy speedboat which took about 35 minutes . A fast & well organised ride but for anyone who wants a smooth crossing they maybe better to use one of the larger ferried , for us if was fine & we enjoyed it

We were met off the boat by a member of Longsetreresort ( they weren’t aware we had booked that time so I presume they try to go to meet as many boats as possible )

Our booking in process was fairly quick & we were soon checking into our room

We soon went out to the beautiful beach on the hotels sun beds ...absolutely fantastic

We ate both nights at the hotel & found the food very good value with a decent choice . Breakfast was good as well

We had some walks & drinks both sides of the hotel which were very nice strolls & a few good bars . We also had a massage on the beach which was excellent value around $13 dollars for 60 minutes . The hotel did do similar massages & prices but we chose to have one overlooking the sea which was great

We had a few drinks on happy hour at the hotel (4-6) & generally found the food & drinks fair value for the hotel . There was also another bar a few hundred metres from the hotel which did happy hour 1-9pm

We found the LongSetResort staff very friendly & helpful

Our only negative was our shower was constantly cold with the occasional hot spurt

Overall we really enjoyed our stay & wished it had been longer rather than having stopped 4 nights in the terrible resort Sihanoukville

Beautiful clean beach, lovely warm sea and a good location to just chill.

Sadly, we regret booking this hotel as during our stay we were continually disappointed from the moment we arrived. When we arrived, we were told by a member of staff who was very rude that he was “too busy” to provide us with a welcome talk. As a result, we missed out on most things we needed to know such as the restaurant opening and closing times, facilities, housekeeping times and free towels for the beach. Knowing this information would have made our stay a lot better. It was only on the last day that we discovered the gym and outdoor pool.

The rooms are ok however they definitely need some TLC. Our room had an awful smelling odour and the toilet and shower area could have been a lot more cleaner. Housekeeping times really varied and one day they arrived at 4pm to clean our room which was not helpful as we were getting ready to head out for the evening.

The food in the restaurant is very overpriced, service is so slow even just for drinks and the staff are not very friendly. It’s really worth exploring the other restaurants on the island as the food is fresh, delicious, half the price and the service is great! Try Nest Beach Club, Beach Walk, Aussie Le Thai and the Turkish fast food restaurant.

The overall service was incredibly poor and we felt very unwelcome. Such a shame for the price we paid as we were excited for a bit of luxury on our backpacking travels.

We stayed here 3 nights was a lovely relaxing place to stay. We picked this resort because we had hoped to see the bio luminescent plankton from the beach at night, but because of the full moon they said its not possible. But it didn't dampen our trip at all. We booked 2x sea view villas but if we come again I'd book garden view or the ones with the shared lap pool (outside views attacded of these) . Accommodation was good, a little worn down in places and badly patched but seems to be the same everywhere in Aisa no matter the price you pay from our experience, also mattress and pillows could do with an upgrade. But were fine for short stays. Free wifi was on and off like the power at times but that's island life. So close to the wharf, as soon as you get off the boat you can start relaxing, staff met us and carried our luggage which was fantastic. Beautiful white sand beach with clear, clean water. Resort supplies free water, Snorkeling gear and Kayaks. Breakfast buffet was excellent with good quality food and lots of it they even made you personalized omelets or soups. Restaurant was nice food but small portions that made it more expensive for food and drink compared to eating at the restaurants opposite the wharf (a 3min walk) . Resort can also arrange scottors and boat tours. Very friendly and helpful staff. The massages on the beach were fantastic these ladies we amazing 100% recomd this resort and hope to come and stay again.

Me and my partner had a terrible experience at this resort. We decided to splash the cash to relax and enjoy the beauty of Koh Rong, however this was impossible. The customer journey was non-existent and management was poor. The staff are inattentive and unwelcoming. For being one of the pricier resorts on the island this was surprising: no offer of tours, advice on how to get around or even simply asking how we were doing…

The whole place felt soulless and looked tired. More importantly it was filthy, the towels were black and the toilet was disgusting!! The sun loungers were dirty and there was scaffolding around the pool… not relaxing !! There was also no wifi in our room which is a poor show for any room over £100 per night

Overall we experienced let dirty facilities and bad or no service. The staff did not seem to be want to be there and as a result neither did we

NOTE: we have travelled all across SE Asia and this has been the most pricey and worst hotel we have stayed in. I urge anyone reading this NOT to book this hotel, a complete waste of money.

The beach is truly stunning, very calm and fairly quiet. Perfect for a few days away,

The rooms are clean and comfortable with good air con

The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The food / cocktails in the restaurant are generally of a good standard.

The pool was lovely.

One problem we did find was people from outside the resort (mainly backpackers) coming and using the sun beds and pool . This was very frustrating as a paying guest and I do think the hotel staff should do more about this.

We picked the hotel based on the reviews however were very disappointed with a number of aspects

The good bits…
Location on the beach is good, having both a pool and loungers on the beach is great
Convenient for the jetty on Longset
The gym, although small has a good selection of kit
Despite not having a permanent tv the manager rigged up a projector and laptop so we could all watch the World Cup games

Needs improvement
The quality, cost and service in the restaurant was shocking. During our 4 night stay, the menu which was already one of the most pricey on the beach, was reprinted and all of the prices increased again. Not by a little- a lot of items jumped by $3, and a portion of fries was 35% more expensive. That coupled with the quality and presentation being average at best meant that we declined to eat there any more. Go literally 500m up the beach to Beachwalk- really well presented, quality food that is $4 or $5 cheaper.
The service in the bar restaurant was continually slow
The grounds and aspects of the room need improvement and just general cleaning/maintaining. Understandable that covid has had an impact, but to expect to be charging $100 a night for a small room, with the shower hanging off the wall, multiple plug sockets not working and insufficient pillows/bedding just isn’t on

I regret not booking one of the other hotels on the beach that were half the price, and from visiting them seemed to be superior. We’ve spent the last couple of weeks touring Koh Rong and Koh Rong Sanloem staying at various levels of hotels which represented much better value for money

Had an amazing stay at the Long Set Resort on Koh Rong.
The beach and the view are lovely, I stayed for 9 nights and after touring the entire island was glad I chose this hotel and location.
The staff at the resort were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the food.
I stayed in a room that walks out onto the beach with a view of the sea, it was an amazing way to start each day

I think it was a nice hotel as we can see that the infrastructure are there but it has not been maintained properly and the service is far from being good. It is quite expensive for what it is. The rooms are very basic with no charm at all. The service at the restaurant is very long and quite expensive compare to other restaurants. There is a lack of organisation and the manager is not very efficient.
On the other side the beach is very nice and there are few small nice restaurants near by.
Sadly we were a bit disapponted.

I think if you make it to the ferry port they will come and pick you up by boat. Send the resort an email and they should be able to advise. They are very accommodating.
