The absolutely worst stay during three months Asia! We had rats in our room, the staff was 24/7 high on drugs and wasn't able to make correct bookings - as a result you find the wrong person in your bed at night. We got no towels or pillows or anything. The toilets were the most dirty ones I have ever seen.. moreover one of the dogs from the owners of the Hostel bited me while I was on the way to the toilet at night - nobody cared! It's really sad that such a nice place is owned by people who only care about themselves and not about their guests.

Rude staff. Rubbish food. Awkward vibe. Felt very unsafe. Would give a 0 if I could. Avoid at all costs!!! Whenever we spoke to staff they grunted. Loud acid trance till 6am weren't told about this. Cats living in the bungalow with us at night and ate all my snacks

Terrible place- rude staff constantly high and clueless. We arrived on the party night which the staff said there would be a ‘bit of a party’ louder music than a festival right next to the room. Intense techno till 6am, dirty room, no clean towels or bed sheets for 3 day stay. Dirty beach and didn’t even want to try the food here. Better of staying in town! Animals in the room too.

me and my two friends stayed two nights here. when we first arrived in the room one off the mosquito net were full of insects and was very dirty. Also the bed had ants on it so all three of us had to sleep on the same bed. Then the net that was over our bed had big holes in it. The fan in our room was broken, which they later fixed. The toilet was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen in my life, no shower and very dirty. The staff was not professional and drunk and high every night. They did not seem to care about their guest and was unwilling to help. Also the room was filled with ants and a gecko. the location was terrible, loads of trash everywhere and the beach was tiny!

I stayed here for 3 nights just before Christmas. We had a bungalow right by the ocean which you would think sounds pretty amazing! When we checked in a French guy on the desk tried to make us pay straight away thankfully I asked to check the room first.. The bathroom had not been cleaned one bit, absolutely filthy! The room was so basic, pretty dirty with little black things constantly dropping from the ceiling. The only blessing was the sheets were clean. I told the guy I was not happy to pay the full price for the room, he went of checked and did reduce it for us. However, After he cleaned the toilet he pretty much ran off. We went to the bar to pay, at this point he said 'I think you should pay for one night as we clearly do not fit and you need to find somewhere else', picked up his bag and ran out as it was the end of his shift! After this no one asked us to pay, the staff are so clicky! It's very awkward going to the bar. The staff simply do not care, they are there for their free accommodation and food! They will not clean your room and when asking for things we got told alot 'oh I don't work here'. The manager is never around. This place is used for the apparent 'staff' and manager to drink! There is no where to sunbathe on the beach, it's pretty dirty on the grounds, you think your getting a private beach away from the noise but I would say it's louder here due to the staff playing music till around 4am! And all together a bad atmosphere. I would recommend staying elsewhere at the opposite end of the beach!

A couple of years ago someone put a lot of time, money and effort into building Police Beach. Now it's just a fraction of what it once was.

The roof of the main area is repaired with menu cards and plastic. The many ants keep eating away the wood in a pace faster then the many personnel works.. They don't work a lot. Most are busy smoking wood or doing yoga.

It's a real shame to see the place look like this right now, considering how awesome it would have looked some years ago.

There is not really anything to do during the day. When we were there they hadn't any sunbeds out. Also there was no music.

Lots of dogs and cats. I like animals but sometimes I had the feeling I was staying at a animal shelter instead of a hostel.

The bungalow:
We stayed at a 3 pers bungalow paying $30 for 2 nights, so very cheap. The bungalow is high up on poles that are uneven so everything in the bungalow is crooked. When in bed you clearly notice your feet are higher up then your head. It feels like it can collapse if it's starts sinking away further.
We were both severely bitten by bedbugs and mosquitos. The clamboo was ripped in various places. Very bad!

The party:
The entrancefee is €10 but free for guests which makes the pricing even cheaper since we would've gone to the Wednesday party anyway. Great visuals, nice DJs. Not too busy but that's low season I guess. If the management would give the same amount of attention and love to the accommodation as they give the party, the accommodation would also be as awesome.

I would not recommend staying here. Up your budget and stay somewhere nicer.

I stayed at police beach for one night with 3 other friends. Our villa was cute and had a great view of the beach...however was extremely dirty, badly lit and lacked outside furniture to relax on the beach.

Although this place is equipped with an amazingly beautiful and quite a beach but somehow, the people who own this one doesn't seem to care about the bungalows. Broken mattress, thin wall (can hear what people in the next room is talking). Toilets is dirty. Staffs seem to always high because of weed but they're friendly.
If you have more money, choose another hotel not here, the only good thing about this place is its beach is absolutely stunning

The bit of beach In front of the guest house was beautiful, quiet, private, lit up beautifully at night. Had a good communal area. But the whole island is full of even more beautiful beach you can easily walk to. Our 'private room' was basically a dorm where they'd put walls but no ceilings in the room, so you could hear EVERYTHING people were doing in rooms next to you. No toilet paper. Giant (friendly) lizards in the room. But mostly rats. Also staff were inattentive and seemed unwilling to help. Definitely go to the island though.

After booking 3 nights at this place I left after the first night. The internet didn´t work (they said it was a problem with iPhones but I didn´t work at all either with my laptop after trying several times for 2 days at different times). Inside the toilets I found drinks from I don´t know when (probably from the full month party the month before) with cigarette butts inside and suuuuuper dirty. The room (stayed in a dorm) were a mess and the lockers tiny (you have to give 5 USD in deposit in order to use them). On top of that, some of the owners and or staff were really rude (the only nice one was a very nice girl). This place is like abandoned, they are completely careless about everything there. Since I had to work and I needed internet I had to leave. After asking in other hostels around they said for sure they would refund me the money since that was the case at the island so when I asked for the refund the girl (the nice one) said yes, absolutely fine. The problem came when the italian guy (I don´t know if the owner or staff) said no. At the end the girl managed to give me the money back and I just lost the deposit of the locker. DO NOT STAY HERE! There are other places for the same price and much better than this one.
