Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Room 8, bungalow high above water. Private bath w no hot water (which is fine in this heat). Quiet fans. Clean. Friendly staff. WiFi excellent 80% of time. Restaurant has standard western/Khmer fare without specific vegetarian options. Food prices average for this beach. This is currently the quiet side of coconut beach. Accessible to other beaches via main road walking or motorbike rental over rough terrain. There are budget bungalows, fancier bungalows, and tents on platforms presumably to fit your specific budget. Free beach ball, beach mat, and lounging around.

The beach is beautiful and that's a big plus, the hotel itself is very simple, with fans and mosquito nets, it was OK for us but if you like some comfort, maybe it will not be so good for you. Restaurant is OK also, just avoid western food, but they are OK for Cambodian food.
The staff is very nice

This place has by far the best value for money at coconut beach. It's half the price (20$ bungalow, 5$ tent in low season) as you pay for the bungalows/rooms in other places at the beach.
Furthermore it's run by a local family and located right at the beach. The facilities are clean and especially the wooden bungalow is awesomely comfortable (bu the way, there are only two bungalows and one tent).
The family is super welcoming. They were so happy that we chose to be their guests. Especially in low season they need the money badly as it's only a small accommodation business. One night we asked for ice because we brought a bottle of wine along. They gave us a whole bucket and even wine glasses for free.
We couldn't have asked for more, as we paid double the price for the nights before at other places at coconut beach.
We definitely come back.

We loved our 8 nights here, we could have stayed so much longer. Set on the beautiful Coconut Beach with nothing to do but walk, swim, read, drink and eat. Our bungalow was 5* quality in our opinion, compared to other bungalows in South East Asia. We had lovely comfortable beds, good mosquito nets. The bathroom facilities were good quality and all in working order. Our balcony was huge with the most comfy relaxing seats we had had in two months of travelling. Lovelh to sit and relax. The staff were helpful and friendly. Food at the restaurant was faultless. Highly recommend Bunnan Bungalows

We had originally booked into a terrible private room with shared bathroom further up the beach but moved to Bunnan and got a double bungalow with clean towels every day for the same price! Great staff, great location.

Next to the coconut beach pier, on an amazing white sand beach with turquoise water, welcome to Bunnan Bungalows !
Kind staff, calm environment, nice bungalow (strict minimum, but bedding was confortable, mosquito net in a good and functional condition), clean.
The foods at restaurant were good (anyway, there is only two others options on this beach).
Wifi was functional (maybe some microcut, but, guys, you're on a wild island !)
Beware, if weather is not calm, you can't be drop off at coconut pier (light boat can't moor). Special thanks to staff who grant us a free van to go to Long set beach to take our return boat (windy weather this day).

For the price, this economy hotel is clearly a good option. If you have luck, there is one concrete bungalow but it not seems mandatory at all ! Enjoy the paradise.

We arrived by ferry and found the place easily. The bungalows are close to the pier and one of about 8 bungalow set-ups on Coconut beach. The beach is uncrowded and very chilled. There is a very small amount of litter on the beach, but we saw it being picked up by locals. The water is clean and clear. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful.

The bungalow was exactly as advertised. Sheets and towels were clean and smelled fresh and towels were replaced daily. The bathroom only has cold water, but this was absolutely fine for us, as it was balmy and warm. The bathroom was clean.

There are lockers to keep valuables stored at reception which can be locked with a padlock. Water refills are available at reception from a chilled dispenser.

We hired a motorbike from the bungalows to explore the island which was awesome. If the wind is blowing here - go to the other side of the island!

The restaurant was great. Cold beers, smoothies, cocktails and iced coffee available and the food was VERY good. The owner of the restaurant is always around and made sure we were happy.

Coconut beach and particularly Bunnan Bungalows are highly recommended for a couple or a family looking for a relaxed quiet holiday. The sea is super safe to swim in.

We will be returning.

Things we didn’t like? Well, the WiFi was crap - very intermittent. This seemed to be a problem at every restaurant we logged into on the island, so it’s not unique to Bunnan. It also forces people to put their phones down too. Not a bad thing. That’s it. Everything else was good. Really good.

Bunnan was an ideal place to stay on Coconut Beach. Bungalows are large, clean, have running water, flush toilets and mosquito nets. They also have tents if you want to be closer to nature and are on a budget.
The restaurant offers a good range of food for a fair price.
A quick walk over the hill and you can watch the sunset.

We rented 3 tents with the kids and it was great, the tents were spacious and beds were comfy. Bit noisy when there's amorous activity in the neighbouring tent, but a couple more beers before bed will help you sleep through that. Beach out front was clean and super safe for kids. Kids really enjoyed jumping off the pier endlessly.
Restaurant is good, food reasonable, even if, at times the service is a bit Fawlty Tower-esque.
Definitely a winner with kids.

We stayed in one of the tents for 2 nights. The tents aren't on the beach and didn't "open up to sea views" as described on the listing, it takes about 1/2 mins to walk up a bit of a hill to the tents. However, the tents themselves are spacious and clean. You get a towel, pillow, cover, a fan and toilet roll. The fan keeps it cool in the evening, however, as soon as the sun comes up it gets very hot in the tent. At about 7am it starts to get quite loud with the animals and people coming in and out of the area on motorbikes etc.

The bathroom definitely needs an update. It is dingey and there is quite a lot of wildlife living in there. There is also no soap at the sink to wash your hands. We got bitten loads by mosquitoes so make sure you cover yourself in bug spray.

The beach is absolutely beautiful. It was clean and clear. The beach wasn't crowed at all and was a nice place to relax.

Checking in was easy, you are given a key for some lockers to put your valuables in. The WiFi was in and out and so was the power.

They rent snorkels which was great and you get to see some fish around where the boats dock however when one mouth piece didn't work the man behind the counter was a bit rude and helpful.

The Cocohut was a busy restaurant in the evening and where we ate both nights. They offer a good selection of foods at good prices.

All in all, if you like camping, are on a budget and want to be near a lovely beach then this it is a good place to visit, just needs a few updates.

If I remember correctly, ferries run every hour during the day. Tickets should be purchases in advance. Yep, if it's too windy ferries aren't leaving so give yourself 1-2 days leeway if you need to be somewhere on a specific day. You can see the bungalows from the landing. It's less than five minutes of a walk from the dock.

Well you are on an island so yes the food is a bit more expensive. It cost us an average of 10$ for 2 per meal. The veggie burger is cheap. The chicken cashew was phenomenal! I do I picture of the menu! Let me post them!
