We stayed here with my girlfriend for 6 nights in December 2017. When our ferry arrived to the main beach we had to wait 2.5hrs for the promised free boat to 4k beach and there was no one to tell us about it. We had to go around the main beach and ask local people to find out that there is maintenance ferry running once a day where we can hop on to reach 4k beach. The bungalows are OK, no AC no blanket no hot water but it's okay, not really worth the money tho. The worst part is the loud music which the staff blasts even though there is no one at the bar. People come to 4k beach to relax and it is not really relaxing that you have to hear super loud music until 23-00 in the evening and wake up at 5.00 because rooster is screaming under your bungalow. I told the staff that the loud music is really killing the atmosphere but they didn't do anything about it.

The bungalow was spacious and though very basic, not at all unpleasant. Some of the items in my room were broken (balcony table missing a leg, mosquito net with many large holes), and the fan was worthless in as much as it circulated the warm air from outside to which the bungalows are constantly exposed at the roof.

It was difficult to work out who ran or worked at the resort as they simply didn't greet or speak to you; and there were so many builders it was impossible to differentiate. With that in mind, construction was constant throughout the day, which made sunbathing in front of the property very unpleasant as either drills or loud music would prevent you from relaxing. Ultimately, the resort isn't finished or is mid-renovation. It is worth noting here that after speaking to someone at their 'partner' resort (Reef on the Beach) the two have very recently disassociated from one another and that Coral have since made plans to market the resort to backpackers.

Their pricing will need some serious readjustment, as at $40 per night it isn't worth it as a mid range resort, let alone as a crash pad for young travellers.

There are minimum food options here too - which would be both cooked and served in the middle of a building site. In my 3 days here, I saw no one order anything.

The beach itself (and thus the hotels location) is beautiful. But there are many other properties along the stretch which offer far superior options and service for less or at least better value for money.

The staff are friendly...
However, building work going on around and awful music which blared out sporadic.
The food is poor 😅😅
It's quite expensive for a very basic beach bungalow.

Would I re visit ... no
I was last here 5 years ago ... Oh how it's changed!

Absolutely incredible stay at Coral Resort!
The location was perfect - close enough to everything you need but private and serene. The staff was outstanding - friendly, attentive, and always went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room was beautiful and spotless, with stunning views. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and falling asleep to the cool sea breeze. The resort itself was impeccably maintained with gorgeous pools and plenty of space to relax. We can't wait to go back! 5/5 stars!

The worst bungallow in Koh Rong. Never ever again!!! They write reviews by themselves on booking.com.
They charged 100$ per 1 night without breakfast, only cold wather in thé bathroom, dirty old towels, no blankets on the bed, sheets with brown marks, scratches on the walls etc. Disguisting place.

Terrible noisy place, lots of rubbish everywhere. It is not a resort. There are big holes in the floor and walls. Be careful if something falls on the floor. You might lose it. The door dont have proper locker.

Very loud music until 1:30am in the bar. There were no guests, the bar tenders turn it always very loud for no reason. Impossible to sleep. At 6 a.m. loud radio next to our bungallow.

They write by themselves the reviews at booking.com. They are a group of lazy and rude liers.

We called the owner, he was rude and didnt want to give us back the money!!!
100$ for dirty bungalow, no blanket on the bed, cold water, rubbish everywhere...

They should charge maximum 15 $ per night. The worst place we have ever been.

And of course they didnt pick us up from the main pier so we had to pay 16 $ for a boat there and back. Breakfast was not included and they wanted 9 $ for 2 eggs and 2 small toasts!

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!

Stayed for 3 days at Coral Resort located on 4k beach, then moved on further to Sok San beach. Can therefore comprare and review with sense since we tried 2 resorts on 2 different areas.

If you pay USD$15 per night (or $20 at MOST during Best season)  this would have been rated 3 stars. HOWEVER we paid USD$60 during low season start: No breakfast included, no warm shower, no toilet door, just a Fan, broken chairs, broken table legs, floor boards that were spaced so far apart you'd Lose your belongings between them if you'd dropped them, the list goes on... Staff was very friendly (but that shouldnt count here because Cambodians are very warm people in general). Basically we had the impression that the owners didn't care about hospitality at all. You'd pay less for better hospitality in EUROPE!  If you buy a Brand New Cherry QQ (Cheapest car ever)  even with leather seats, full Electronic Equipment and porno rims, you cant expect to pay $50,000 because thats just another product. Whoever reads this, spend your money on SOK San beach instead. I have a Review there that'll Inform you of what Basic Hospitality for the price span of $60-$100 a night on koh-rong you deserve to get. Now, thats where you should be staying to get a positive impression of KOH-RONG. Coral beach is just a typical "cut throat Cash in where you can" type of Business. Go home and get yourselves a 9-5 Job, gentlemen. Hospitality isnt your Strength. Unless you learn from your Sok San Colleagues, or your Long Set Resort neighbours (they have a World class Restaurant by the way, food at long set beach Was 5 star), i wouldnt be surprised if Coral Resort closes in the next year or 2. The only positive thing was the dive centre. We had a very good dive guide, but that was all. If you have to stay on 4k beach and would have to pay anything above USD$20 a night,  DON'T stay at Coral. If its less than $20 a night it's ok.

I stayed in the resort next door and Coral resort was blasting loud techno late into the evening. When I went to complain about the noiseand they turned it down only to turn it back up few minutes later. I went back, there were some 5 young guys standing around the bar which I assume were the staff, and I asked to talk to the manager. The manager was very rude and said: "you're not my customer, I don't care about you". The delivery was quite hostile and I got the feeling like the place is run by a bunch of young thugs who have no understanding about hospitality and based on the other reviews in this forum don't care about their customers at all. I would definitely not spend a single dollar at this resort and would recommend avoiding it. Koh Rong seems overpriced for what you get, but you definitely have better options than this.

Avoid this place! Terrible, noisy, messy. The owner and his team are very rude and ignorant people.
We found this place at booking.com and some of the reviews were very good. We didnt have time to read many of them and especially older ones. Which was a big mistake.

After one night we really don´t understand that this place exists and is still running. I hope every person will write a review and they will be closed soon.

There is a list of things we didn´t like:
1) very very noisy, it is impossible to sleep in this "resort". The bar is running by a group of young men who look very suspicious from the first look. Very poor English, dont care about all the needs of guests, every night they turn on the music, some kind of annoying techno... Even if you go there and ask them to turn it down, they don´t care or turn down just for few minutes.
2) the towels and blankets are kind of disgusting, we didn´t want to use it
3) there is lots of rubbish, old pipes, cartons, bags, etc next to bulgalows. On the beach on the left side is a "mountain" of rubbish and stuff used to construction
4) it is SO OVERRATED!!!!!! It should be max 20 dollars per night. How they can charge 109 $ per night with breakfast???
5) the owner is mean rude person who has no idea what is hospitality, kindness, client service, nice communication
6) Wifi is not working properly
7) the food is very poor and if you see the kitchen you really dont want to eat anything. We ate in different places on the beach
8) the bulgalows are very basic, horrible door and locker, many holes in the floor and walls, no door to the toilet, the walls in the bathroom and disgusting, dark brown marks, dirty etc

We spent only one night sadly as I have to work during the week. Would have loved to have stayed longer. Take a book to read as no tv.
Excellent value bungalow room with sea view.
Management is friendly and helpful and can cook up some good Khmer or western food.
Will definitely return.

We came by ferry to Koh Rong from Sihanoukville, then waited at the meeting point so they could get us to that part of the island. The person from the hotel was punctual, but we had to wait for about an hour more, since they were waiting for supplies. We were the only guests. It was us and other workers. It was more like a boat for supplies transportation. Once we got to the beach, we were surprised there was a wooden raft that took us from around 500 meters from the beach, to the beach. We were relaxed, but all this trouble could be a problem for other people (or maybe us in other circumstances), considering there is a dock on the island, and all this trouble is unnecessary. We asked and they said it was not property of their hotel. So we finally got to the island on the raft, and they were taking their supplies to the bar in front of us, so we thought that was our hotel, but we were wrong. They guided us for around 500 more meters to the right in order to finally get to the hotel. At this point, it was already dark so we had to use our phones as lanters, fortunately our big luggage was in Siem Reap, and we had only backpacks for the 4 days we were staying. Why couldn't they at least bring us in front of the hotel.

When we saw the lobby, we asked to pay one night and pay the rest the next morning, which was a good choice because we had to cancel the rest of the nights of our stay and go to other great hotel we found (we made a review about it if you're interested).

The room was a nightmare, the floor was all dirty, the curtains are a fabric cut in half and stapled to the wooden wall. The bathroom was another nightmare. The towels were stinky. There were actually plants growing inside the floor of the room (not for decoration purposes). Gekkos, ants, and other bugs were with us during the night. There was a mosquitoe net that we didn't even want to touch. The door closed with a lock. We couldn't wait to get out of there. We ended up in another hotel nearby having dinner, fell in love, and decided to stay there next night.

When we decided to leave, they were kind. Service was friendly, but this hotel needs serious cleaning and better management.

If you take Angkor Speed ferry, they drop you straight to Longset beach about 150 mts from Coral. If you take any of the other ferry services, they will drop you at Koh Touch Village. We run a free shuttle boat 3 times a day from there to Longset at 11am, 2pm and 4.30pm. If you ask at Coco's bar they will organise it for you.

We have limited free wifi here. We use a rechargeable box that we have to take back to the mainland to recharge. As long as you don't download movies or live stream, and mainly use it to keep in contact with friends and family, then there are no problems!
