We arrived at discovery bay and had a very easy check in . We gad room 9 which overlooks the beach , to say I was gin smacked is a understatement. The views were amazing the apartment was better than most 4 star hotels. We had so much room , the bathroom was brilliant with a great shower and jacuzzi bath . Our bed was enormous and I don’t ever sleep past 6/30 and I was sleeping to 9 /30 . So comfortable.nice layout for lounge area with great views for a beautiful sunset. The beach at st ouens is one of the best beaches I’ve been on and definitely the quietist. Very friendly staff and a great little cafe underneath. Me and my wife will definitely be coming back to these apartments again absolutely brilliant.

We stayed at Discovery Bay for a week during a trip to Jersey. The check in was quick and easy. We had a room on the ground floor at the front of the property. Overall, I feel we paid a lot of money for quite basic accommodation. On the plus side, we had a nice comfortable king size bed and a nice sofa but the studio was quite small particularly the bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful too. However, the shower felt really pokey and there wasn’t enough room to swing a cat. The hot water took ages to come on in the kitchen so we had to use the kettle to clean our dishes. Some of the equipment such as the toaster and oven appeared very dated. The deck chairs on the balcony were dirty and covered in grit. There were also large cobwebs hanging above our bed. Unfortunately, the accommodation was only very average at best.

I measured the paces to the beach. It was approx 60 steps! Absolutely ideal for surfing, boarding water sports or just lounging on the beach.if you like surfing you can wet suit up in the apartment & get cracking straight away. I have stayed on Jersey lots of times & usually on St Ouens. The wild coastline is something you just have to experience. If this location was Devon or Cornwall you’d pay 3 times the price & it would be packed. That’s the beauty of this place - it’s not commercial & you really notice it. The apartments offer stunning views & are well appointed & great value for money. Ideally you should have a car when staying here but buses to the rest of the island run along the coast, offering a cheap & effective way to explore the island. If you’re thinking of visiting Jersey stay outside St Helier & book DISCOVERY BAY. You won’t regret it👍

We stayed for 4 nights with another couple in the family to celebrate a 50th birthday. We love to cook so the kitchen facilities were important to us and thankfully everything we needed was provided. We were in flat 10 so had the full length balcony accessed from patio doors in both bedrooms and the lounge. Waking up to that view each day and going to sleep to the sound of crashing waves was just heaven. All the rooms are a good size, everything you could need is provided and, being local, we know it's on a reasonable bus route so you won't be stuck if you visit without a car. We definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a relaxing space, whether they're a local just needing a change of scenery after the past 2 years, or people looking to come here on holiday.

Arrived early evening to find key left on counter as no one on reception. Easily found our room up 1 flight of stairs. Nice sized lounge with large comfortable sofa and dining room table and chairs which looked new. Small kitchen area but had full oven and hob, toaster microwave and kettle. Small under counter fridge. Enough utensils for our needs. I did notice a few hygiene slip ups, such as the counter top though looked clean when I went over it with one of my disinfectant wipes it was not clean, I think it was tea stained. The grill pan had a remnant of something stuck on it. Also a badly cracked ramekin was left in the cupboard. This was mentioned and removed promptly. It would have been nice to have a table lamp or standard lamp instead of needing the main lights on at night. A small balcony was off the lounge, quite a strange step onto it which one had to be aware of. The bedroom was large with a king sized bed, at first we found this very uncomfortable but soon got used to it. Plenty of storage. The shower was very small, with nowhere to put shampoo. We had 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels, had to ask for clean ones on the Wednesday after being there since Saturday. I believe they are working on upgrading the apartments looking at some of the photos of the larger ones and the fact that the dining room table and chairs were new. The staff we met were friendly. Right by the beach, so would be a great place for families to stay, especially the front facing rooms overlooking the sea. Easy walking distance to Watersplash bar and restaurent. Nice place to have fish and chips and a drink. Lovely area for walking and bird watching. Cannot comment on the cafe as only used it for a drink. Due to staffing problems was closed early most days whilst we were there. Staffing was a problem at a few restaurants due to covid, however it did not deter us enjoying our trip to Jersey.

I have recently returned from a week stay at Discovery Bay. I chose the accommodation purely for the location as I absolutely adore the St Ouen's area of Jersey. I wasn't disappointed by the view from the balcony and the close proximity to the beach. The sunsets were stunning. The accommodation was fairly basic. The bed was super uncomfortable, every turn a spring would make a noise. In fact I think Jersey is in serious need of a good bed shop as I've never had a comfortable bed in any of my stays. Facilities in the bathroom did not satisfy the £900+ price tag. The shower was noisy and had little space to move or a decent size space to put shower gel and shampoo etc. There was one little shelf for a bar of soap. The sink also emptied as soon as you were filling it up. Only one toilet roll is provided. I did request another and got one, but I have never stayed in self-catering accommodation that doesn't provide you with more than one toilet roll. The kitchen was well equipped, only item missing was a baking tray. I did find it to be generally quiet within the apartment and didn't hear noise from our neighbours. A few modifications to the suite would make it perfect. I have been to a few places in Jersey now and believe that some really need to up their game and be decorated a bit better. I would, however, recommend Discovery Bay as a base for a Jersey holiday.

We've just returned from a two week staying at Discovery Bay in St Ouen and it was perfect. As a family of four who love the beach, the location really couldn't be any better, it was such a privilege to wake up and take a walk along St Ouen's bay every morning. Joe and Vicky were fantastic hosts and really made us feel welcome and at home. The apartment was simply furnished but comfortable and clean with all the amenities you need for a self catering holiday. The onsite restaurant is a massive bonus too, the food and service are first class... all round well done to the team at Discovery Bay and Little Joe's, we'll be re-booking for 2021 soon!

Just spent our second holiday at Discovery Bay and really wanted to share how good it is. The apartment was spotless and has everything a family could need or want, the location is quiet and relaxed but close enough to everything, the cafe on site serves amazing and really well priced food and Vicky & Joe are the most wonderful hosts, they both make you feel so welcome and constantly go out of their way to ensure a perfect stay. We would never stay anywhere else in Jersey. Thanks again. G.MC & family,

We have just spent one week here as a family of 4. A great location, nice clean apartment only a few seconds walk from the beach. Couldn’t be better. Nice restaurant, Sands attached to apartments along with surf shop and school owned by Joe who also owns the apartments. We hired boards almost every day and always had a friendly welcome and advice on tides etc. Lovely food in restaurant and great staff. Would highly recommend a stay here.
