We had originally been booked into the Scenic hotel in Auckland but cancelled due to building works. It was an absolute pleasure to stay at the Peace and Plenty in Devonport. The B&B is ideally located for the ferry terminal as well as local shops and restaurants. The owner,

Four of us (two couples, long term friends) spent our first three nights in New Zealand enjoying Judy’s gracious hospitality. Judy provided excellent suggestions on how best to enjoy our stay in the Auckland area. She is genuine and charming. The breakfasts were healthy and

On our arrival the first thing we saw was the huge "For Sale" notice. Had we known this, we would not have booked here. Certainly the house is in a great location, lots of cafes and restaurants just around the corner and a five-minute walk to the ferry to Auckland. However, we

Thank you for your review. I am very sorry we fell short of the service you expected. I am sorry I was so ill, but unfortunately I had the most terrible migraine for two days, and the aftermath of the migraine for the rest of the week. I think my staff are more concerned for me and how ill I was (I don't enjoy being sick with a migraine), but at least at least you were able to have a cooked breakfast. This came unexpectedly, and unfortunately we did not have a plan in place, as I very rarely get sick. I apologize for any inconvenience and we hope you continued to have a lovely holiday. Again many apologies, Judy

It is a brilliant place at the heart of devonport. Judy, the hostess was truly amazing. She made brilliant breakfast in the morning. The dogs there were lovely too (Joel Cocker and Cooper). The location was amazing with all houses nearby made in Victorian and Edwardian

Many thank for your lovely review, I was very pleased that you enjoyed not only my company but the Cocker spaniels as well. They really are such dumb dogs - but very lovable. If I make India I will certainly get in touch. All best wishes to you both. Smiles, Judy

Just what a business traveller needs... old school, old world class and charm in the middle of Auckland! Recommend this place and the ferry to Auckland over the CBD any day! I couldnt think of a more charming place to beat jetlag!

Where is the best place to park? Also, any recommendations on a specific room? Thanks.
There were parking spaces in front on the street. we loved our room on the ground floor, which had a private entrance in the back from the garden. The room was spacious, had it's own bath, plenty of counter space & sink....kitchen area if you want to cook. There was a small refrigerator as well. We loved it! Have fun!
