HI-Canmore is spacious, warm and inviting with exceptionally clean facilities! We have two gas fireplaces, plenty of space to spread out and a relaxed atmosphere. The kitchen is very clean, well stocked and has commercial-quality appliances. The dorm rooms are low-capacity, sleeping 4 to 6 people per room and are very comfortable.

Clean, afordable, quiet perfect to relax after long hiking days in the mountains. We stayed in 4 pax rooms(really small) and as well in Bowen Cabin(amazing comfortable). Still anywhere you will stay facilities in the building are amazing and service helpful.

The accessibility was a surprise, very steep road and at winter snow tires are recommended. The family cabins are far from the car, so you have to drive in a narrow driveway, park for a short time near the cabin and after it return all the way. Just to turn around is

As far as hostels go, this place is very nice. Super clean and tidy, nestled in a quiet spot on the outskirts of town. Has a nice big lounge area with a fire going and plenty of books to read. Being part of the Alpine Club they've tastefully decorated the place with photos

The people working at the front desk are poorly trained. They quote incorrect prices. Put incorrect charges though. Promise to correct them that day. Don't. Then you have to waste time and money on phone calls to try and correct their mistakes. They confirm their mistakes and

I appreciate your frustration with the issue that you had with purchasing a Canadian Alpine Journal from the front desk, and our apologies for for not fixing the issue with the taxes sooner. However, Trip Advisor is a site to leave reviews on the experience of your stay at the Alpine Club, and you did not actually stay at the property and came in to purchase a publication. We have since changed the set up in our system to ensure that all book purchases do get the correct taxes added. Thank you for your feedback. Rob Shears

We stayed here after our hike of abbot pass. We stayed in both the loft at the other building and a 4 person female room. The rooms are quite small which would not be enjoyable if you stayed in the room much. Great kitchen and bathrooms. View of the three sisters. And nearby

Hello Vanessa, Thank you for your review, and I am glad you enjoyed the facilities after your hike to Abbot Pass. We know that our Clubhouse bedrooms can be quite tight when they are full, but we hope people can relax and spread out downstairs in our large common areas with the excellent views. I hope you can stay with us again on your next adventure to the Canadian Rockies. Thank you, Rob Shears

Hello There, You can check the Alpine Club of Canada website and look at availability there, as you may find that more dates are available. However we do have a limited number of private rooms and they do book out quickly. Thank you, Rob Shears
