Four in a room - cosy, but Amanda made it work, and when we asked for the furniture to be rearranged back to normal, they were happy to accommodate us. The breakfasts were delicious every time, and ready when we were. The best surprise was coming back and expecting chaos (which we had left behind) and finding order. Thanks Amanda!

Hi Marcia, Yes we usually recommend the Bastedo room for children. It is separate from the other rooms, on the main floor, has a bathtub. It was great to have your family stay with us. I enjoyed the bustle of the children under feet. (and are they CUTE or what?!) Hope to see you again, Amanda

It was an extremely last minute decision to book the stay here & I'm so glad I did. Amanda is a wonderful host. I was picked up via the bus station, was given a quick tour of the property before I settled into my lovely room.A very clean and comfortable stay with a yummy breakfast included. Will definitely come back...

I stayed at Frederick Street Inn for three nights and each time returned to a clean bedroom & bathroom. The comfortable bed, friendly service, delicious and filling breakfasts are worthy of recommendation. I hope to stay there again.

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, and for debunking the scare of the shared washroom. We have found sometime people are a bit resistant to share a washroom until people actually give it try...and then they are pleasantly surprised. Hope to see you again, Amanda

I loved my stay at Frederick Street Inn. I had the best omelet I've ever, my room was quiet and very comfortable and I loved cuddling up in front of the gas fireplace and chatting. Harold and Amanda are remarkable hosts. I found it so convenient to walk to Victoria Park and to downtown. I highly recommend this Inn for...

Superb!!! I can't recommend the Frederick Street Inn highly enough. Our travel plans necessitated an early arrival and even earlier departure the next day. Not a problem for the Frederick Street Inn. They met us at the train station and had our room available well before the usual check-in. We were further impressed by how impeccably clean and beautifully appointed...

I was there for business for two nights and felt welcomed and had a warm, comfortable room with a huge and charmingly decorated bathroom. Breakfast was tasty and Harold and Amanda made sure everything was to our liking.

A welcoming host, clean and comfortable room and yummy breakfast made our stay at the Frederick Street Inn very enjoyable. We stayed in the Bastedo room which has a small but wonderful ensuite offering a spacious jacuzzi tub, and a cozy heated floor. Kathleen was friendly and helpful upon arrival and made a very tasty and substantial breakfast. My only...

Thanks for taking the time to leave us your comments. I am glad that you liked your stay with us. I am checking the light bulbs in the washroom to see if I can perhaps get a stronger watt bulb to give a bit more light. I always appreciate comments that help us to improve. Best, Amanda

We have used the Frederick Street Inn as our Christmas rendezvous for six years running now. The whole family, young and old, has been there at one time or another and enjoyed the receptive atmosphere of this beautiful four room inn complete with nutcrackers, fireplace and decorated Christmas tree in the great room at year's end. Suitable for quiet escape...

Hi, Oh now you've done it. I shall have to share that jar of jam. I thought that was our little secret! It is absolutely delicious:) It is always such a pleasure to have you and your family, (some, all, or any of the combinations) It just isn't Christmas without you here at the Inn. Thank you Amanda and Harald for a wonderful stay during my conference trip! The Siebert room was very nice, quiet, and clean. I really appreciate your care and help when I got sick toward the end of my stay. I enjoyed your breakfast very much and loved working on my presentation in the common room. This is an absolutely wonderful Inn in all respects, but one (significant one!) All the features that the Inn had to offer were top-notch: nicely decorated, comfortable, clean, good location, the Bastedo room was impressive, especially the ensuite with heated floor and jacuzzi air tub, conveniences such as free WiFi and parking. They even have a few notable offerings that...

Thanks for taking the time to give your feedback, and I am pleased that you were mostly happy with your stay. I must admit I am a bit baffled by your response to breakfast. We offer 3 choices: yogurt, fruit and granola, eggs and toast, and the breakfast special which switches daily (egg benedict, pancakes and bacon, waffles and bacon,...
