Easy to make booking over the phone with DM Mohammad who was very professional and courteous. Check in with Bonny who did a good job. room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds except the curtains which took us time to understand to close. Pool and water slide was a plus but the slide should be age limited, my son was about to be hit by a giant person. location is great with many food restaurants stores within a walk in distance. Last but not the least, continental breakfast was great and the breakfast workers are doing a great job.

I had a wonderful stay at the Sandman Hotel in Squamish! I was there for business at it was a great stay at an affordable price. Things started off well with free parking and a large meeting room that they offered us that included a screen and coffee/tea service. Many hotels nickel and dime on things like screens and extension cords, plus coffee and tea is always an add on for a huge cost. Not at the Sandman, which was a pleasant and welcome surprise. In addition to that, the rooms are huge and well-appointed. The bed was super comfortable and the hotel was very quiet so I had a good rest. I also tried the pool and hot tub, which were both clean and well maintained. They even have an indoor waterslide which the people using it seemed to enjoy. They also provide a free continental breakfast for hotel guests which offered a wide selection of items, all of which were fresh and very tasty. You can tell that the management and staff work hard to provide professional service at a high standard. The hotel was very clean, the staff were all friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend this hotel and I will be back.

Great place to stay in Squamish for our family! We were upgraded to a suite, I recommend the suite. We had 2 bathrooms which is perfect for a traveling family of 5. Wonderful beds and a separate bedroom with ensuite. Room was well stocked. Breakfast was good, not fancy but started early and had anything a person could want from healthy to a treat. Pool was on the cooler side but it doesn't matter with a fun waterslide to use!! Staff we attentive and friendly, parking was free and lot was easy to maneuver. Rooms and hallways were very quiet.

Needed one overnight stay in Squamish last month (November) and had heard from a friend that this particular Sandman was "great". My experience was a little different. The staff were certainly approachable and helpful but the overall attitude was very cool. Was not told that the room I had booked over the phone had no tub - shower only - so had to request a room change which was easily managed but a nuisance. And the bath towels were really small !!! The only machine in the room to make hot water for drinks was the coffee-bag drip-machine which had been left dirty - neither the filter container nor the jug had been rinsed out. Had to clean both out myself before making hot water for a cup of tea. No selection of teas - mint only, and only 2 bags. The king-size bed was ok - not very firm - but the pillows were a disaster, much too soft. Woke up with a sore neck in the morning. Had pulled out an extra blanket from a plastic bag in overhead storage - and found a couple of long black (human) hairs on it which was rather unpleasant. When I mentioned this latter issue during check-out I was given some excuse about the blanket coming out of the dryer having things stuck to it being normal ???? Didn't explore the pool as I had not brought any swimwear. Breakfast was a sorry disappointment. Cold fare only and an excess of carbs (muffins, bread, croissants, cereal, etc.). Not even any grapefruit segments, only whole bananas and apples. Even the hard-boiled eggs were ice-cold. The only hot thing was tea/coffee and toast. Is this a result of the pandemic hygiene requirements? Will definitely be trying a different venue if I have to overnight in Squamish again.

Thank you K1606LCannaa, for your feedback. I am sorry that we could not delight you in your stay, but your friend is right, we are a great hotel and I am sorry your experience didn't meet this. Let me respond to your criticism of the hotel and staff. Our bath towels are standard bath towel size, and I am sorry you felt they were too small. I am also sorry if there was a nuisance with your room move, we did our best to accommodate your request of a bathtub. You booked the last King room, which was an accessible room – lower benches and walk-in shower (no bathtub). I am happy my very friendly and professional team could assist you with this. I have complete confidence in my team, the cleanliness of the hotel and quality of the service we provide – I urge anyone to read our reviews. All rooms have coffee machines and hot water kettles are available on request. We would have happily changed this for you, if a used coffee filter was in the machine – I apologize for this oversight on behalf of the team. Hot water kettles are available on request and we have 2 selections of tea in the room – Caffeinated English Breakfast and Un-caffeinated Peppermint and another 7 to choose from on request, or pick up from the breakfast room. We also have other pillows on request - once again, you only just need to ask. Our included Continental Breakfast is very popular, but will not meet everyone’s needs – eg those who want scrambled eggs and bacon etc. We have never advertised a hot breakfast and we are the only hotel in the Sea to Sky that offers such a well stocked and nutritious continental breakfast, included with the stay. We can recommend lots of great breakfast restaurants nearby. Our breakfast includes many high quality items you can heat and are delicious eg Belgian Waffles, Cinnamon Swirl French Toast, Croissants (with Nutella), English Muffins, 4 types of Bagels with Cream Cheese, Blueberry, Choc Chip or Bran Muffins, Cereal Bar with 5 choices including High Protein options, Boiled Eggs, Hot Oats (2 flavours), Yogurts (4 flavours), Dried Cranberries and Almonds, White or Whole-Wheat Toast, Fresh Fruit, Fruit Salad, a good selection of Juices and Hot beverages. There are high protein options available, Gluten-free options and Non-dairy milk options. I am sorry we will not be welcoming you back, as we are a great hotel, offering great value and friendly service in the heart of the beautiful Sea to Sky Country. For the areas we can improve, we will, our motto is to “Always get better”. All the best!

I stayed at the Sandman Hotel in Squamish August 2023 with two family members and everything about our stay was fantastic. The hotel was busy with two wedding parties yet the front desk staff accommodated our specific requests to ensure our comfort, the lobby atmosphere was welcoming and our room was clean beyond expectations. Thank you to the ladies at the front desk for making our stay a pleasant one and we will definitely be back next summer.

Perfect for a couple of nights’ stay in Squamish with easy access to Whistler and the Sea to Sky Highway. Really well maintained property and our room was very spacious. The breakfast was minimal but no complaints since a Tim Hortons and McDonalds were a quick drive away. Definitely recommend this property!

We had to book this hotel at the last minute due to an emergency. The front desk staff were great and very helpful. They were able to accommodate the request for a first floor room and made everything easy. There was even a leak in the room from above and they quickly were able to help and get it stopped. I did not get names but we were there on Aug 26, 2023 to the 27th and the staff should be commended for their excellent service. The gift bag was lovely. The rooms were also great.

Another good stay in what I believe is the most reliable hotel in Squamish. Very comfortable room which was upgraded to a suite free of charge. What do they need to do to get the fifth star? Improve the breakfast experience. The paper plates and absence of cooked food is not consistent with the quality of this hotel.

Thank you Curious04889829936 for your review and feedback. I'm happy you enjoyed your stay with us in your comfortable room, and we got you a nice free upgrade. Thank you for your recommendation. As for breakfast - we offer a well stocked Continental Breakfast - so not cooked food, as we do not have the kitchen facilities to do so. We do offer lots of things to heat up, such as, Belgian Waffles, Cinnamon Swirl French Toast, Bagels and Cream Cheese and Croissants (with Nutella or PB), Boiled Eggs, plus Cereal bar, Fruits, Yogurts etc. We use compostable paper plates and recycle whereever we can and we will continue to look for improvements in all areas of the breakfast room, while keeping it as an included amentiy for all our guests. We look forward to welcome you back! Take care!
