We stayed at the Alpine Inn for a few days of skiing at Whitewater. Great location. Clean comfortable bed and high quality linen. Service was excellent. Fully renovated room. Fast Wi-Fi. Would stay here again.
Close to Whitewater ski resort and downtown. Clean and affordable. Only downside was that the room was fairly small, but it was very clean and easy to access - big plus for ski gear! Downtown Nelson has some great restaurants too!
Lowest rate in Nelson, for the night we stayed there, nicely renovated room,no problem keeping it warm. Parking lot ice control well taken care of.Nice and quiet,no road noise at all.easy to get to downtown.
Great spot to spend a night or two for skiing Whitewater... clean updated motel style rooms... strong internet... some rooms have a kitchenette with a hot plate, microwave, fridge...quiet location and appears to be well managed...
I know this hotel is going through renovations, bed and washroom were clean and comfortable, would’ve appreciated a curtain on the bathroom window. However the living space in the suite smelled old and was very uncomfortable. The “couch” aka futon from 1999 could’ve been replaced...More

Don't worry about asking for an updated room as suggested in one of the latest reviews. All rooms are updated to the same extend (June 2016) besides carpets and kitchens. Go to "rooms and rates" on our website and click on the individual room-types. It will show you some photos of that particular room-type.
The walk to Baker street is very doable in summer as well as in most winter days. After some fresh snow you might want to consider driving into town or take a cab but I would say that one can walk at least 9 out of 10 times in the winter.
