We stayed in one the large ground floor courtyard rooms. The room has recently been added to the collection and is a fantastic, brand new family room, with lots of mod cons. The superking bed was extremely comfortable, although the pull out sofa bed was quite small for my two children (8 and 11). Given the size of the room,...

First off, this place is easy to find and the most beautiful building and grounds, the restoration job they've done is fantastic, excellent work. When the new owner took over I had high hopes for the place as he seemed to be doing it right and had big plans. Sadly once the redo was done he seems to have done...

We booked two rooms months ago for ourselves and our friends for an extended new year beak. I was assured that the news years eve celebrations would be good based on previous years. Upon arrival we were shown to our room (10) which whilst nice did have a restricted entry and was quite small with limited wardrobe space for three...

Have stayed several times over last couple of years when on business trips. Loved the standard of accommodation and location. Always had rooms in the main building. Decided to take my partner over the xmas period to experience this. We were given room 12 in the annex building. There is a room above this, but there is no sound insulation...

We held a meeting here and stayed on for dinner. The staff were very attentive during our meeting providing refreshments on time and tidying up from the previous round of tea/coffee etc. In the break I asked to see the rooms as I would like to stay here next year for a little break and the rooms were lovely. We...

Stayed for two nights in a suite. Lovely room, immaculately clean, great facilities. Unfortunately was let down by the restaurant service. Breakfast took ages, buffet was not replenished, no juice or fruit. Cooked food when it came was over cooked and had obviously stood for some while before being served. Restaurant for dinner was equally disappointing. All a great shame...

This is our third stay since the hotel was renovated. The setting is very impressive but the place is beginning to look tired round the edges. Our luxury room (9) had some holes in the plaster on the walls, the biscuits and magazines provided previously had disappeared and the bar area is looking very tatty with dirty carpets and scuffed...

The hotel itself, the recently refurbished room with all facilities and great decor and great grounds outweighed and convinced despite some lack lustre customer service. It should be noted that there was some great customer service from a handful of staff who were very cheerful, polite, attentive, pleasant and efficient, and they managed to paper over the cracks which were...

As a solo business traveler all I look for apart from location is a clean, comfortable hotel. The Oaksmere went way beyond that. The welcome was very friendly and professional and after a 400 mile trip it was just what I needed. The room was very well equipped and well decorated. I opted for room service which was quick and...

You'll find generous Hypnos beds, Nespresso coffee machines, large SkyHD televisions and even digital audio systems that will play your own music. Relax with a selection of Elemis cosmetics, super-soft bathrobes and fluffy towels. At The Oaksmere many of our boutique hotel rooms have impressive whirlpool baths, some sited in the bedrooms. You'll also be treated to large rain head showers with plenty of space to splash.
