I found this place on the internet and was THRILLED with what was there. The owner and staff were warm and welcoming. The food was healthy, plentiful and yummy. The rooms were well maintained and clean. And the property had lots of lovely nooks to "drink in" the sun, the sound of the waves, the sounds of nature. I loved...

My husband and I spent 3 days here as part of our Lake Superior tour. The view of Lake Superior was beautiful, and there are many water activities you can do while you are there. The staff are super friendly. After a busy day it was great to have the option to eat dinner right there at the lodge. An...

We were riding a motorcycle from Toronto to Vancouver. Booked a room and dinner at Rock Island Lodge although we knew it would be tight. It's about 7 hrs from the Chi-Cheemaun ferry that docked at South Baymouth at 11AM. Got there 6:30Pm, straight off the bike and sat down to buffet dinner with other guests and locals from Wawa...

Location, Location, Location. What a beautiful spot on the north shore of Lake Superior, just north of the Lake Superior Provincial Park. The room was comfortable, but not fancy. The breakfast was fine. Good place to kayak, paddle board, canoe, hike or just sit and watch the water. The owners were friendly.

Stayed a couple nights as part of a trip around Lake Superior. Extremely friendly and accommodating folks, who asked us if we would like to participate (at cost) in dinners of chicken pot pie and whitefish. Not much elements in the town of Wawa, so the dinners were a really good deal. The lodge is on a rocky point, with...
