Joan and Jerry were wonderful knowledgeable hosts! We stayed in the Honeymoon Cabin which was nestled in the hill with a pick poo view of the lake. The cabin was well stocked and the list of what to bring was very clear. I meandered around the lake in 1.5 hours on my paddle board. Kayaks and canoes are available to rent as well as fishing boats. All in all a great week and the best part - unplugging from cells and the internet!

Our family had a super stay at Star Lake. The seniors stayed in a cabin with the young grand darlings. Our cabin was rustic but fully equipped. Our group also had a tent and a travel trailer. Jerry and Joan found a way to keep as all in the same area despite our last minute booking. There are so many great things about Star Lake. The resort is small but your accommodations seem so private. The lake is lovely for paddling and swimming. The toilet and shower house is kept very clean as is the campground. For us, one of the treasures of the resort is that the children can run free and just be kids. There is the beach and docks (always supervise your kids around water), there is the deluxe tree fort, there are trails and a fairy forest. If your kid is four-legged and well-behaved they are welcome to be free at the resort as well - within reason! The owners Joan and Jerry are on site at all times and available for whatever you need. There is a reason that guests return to Star Lake time and time again! If you crave a wilderness holiday with comfort and ease, Star Lake Resort is a fabulous choice.

This was our 5th time at Star Lake and once again would for sure go back next year. Even though we had a couple of rainy days and a couple of smoky days from the fires in BC, we still had a great time. This time we took my 13 and 5 year old granddaughters, who both loved it. The 13 year old loved the fishing and outdoor atmosphere and the 5 year old loved the fairy garden and playing in the sand on the beach, especially being serenaded by Jerry with his guitar while he sang Baby Beluga and folk songs, TY Jerry!!! Joan and Jerry kept us posted with weather reports etc and visited with us. The peace and quiet is always welcome with nothing but the sound of the loons, other birds and the fish jumping. The chipmunks and hummingbirds are always fun to watch. Cabins are clean and equipped with the essentials, running hot and cold water, propane stove and fridge as well as bathroom facilities. Wood burning stove is there if necessary, we didn't need to use it this time. This resort is family orientated, which makes this a perfect place to take your kids. Peace and quiet for couples as well... if you are going as a couple Cabin 2 is perfect!!!

It was our first trip there but certainty not the last. Breath taking views, amazing service and just super friendly people. Felt like hanging with friends for a week. Can't wait to return! Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone. We drove 10 hours and it was well worth it. The town of Clearwater is great as well, but you could easily never leave star lake.

This was not our first (nor last) time to Clearwater and I am glad we could find another gem for our stay. This campground has some lovely cabins right at a lake and makes for the perfect getaway! The cabin we stayed in (Nr. 5) was fully equipped and we were not missing power at all. There's a gas fridge and propane lights as well as a firepit out front. The place if out of reach for cell phones and internet, which made for a quiet weekend :) All the towns amenities as well as Wells Gray Park are within 15-20 minutes drive. Joan and Jerry were the perfect hosts! Highly recommended!

This was our second year here. We camped the first time and stayed in cabin #1 last time. Wow just wow. Peaceful, beautiful. Clear lake with awesome swimming. Paddleboard perfect. Fishing and lake kayaking. The hosts are so wonderful and accommodating. Prices are great!! There's hiking close by. Every night there was a wicked thunder and lightening storm with crazy rain. Which made for a unique experience. Love this place. Feels like it's you're own.

We stayed at star lake for 2 days following a 3 day trek in Jasper. It was exactly the relaxation we needed! My partner and I thought the cabin was very spacious and clean and the lake itself was stunning. The resort is the only way to access the lake, which makes it very private and you can hire canoes and kayaks etc for a very reasonable price to enjoy the water from all angles. The owners Joan and Jerry were lovely and hospitable taking the time to chat to us and giving us handy tips about the area. Jerry even played us some Canadian folk songs on his guitar as we sat in the sun. We enjoyed making hot dogs and smores on our very own fire pit in the evening. A glorious experience. We would definitely recommend Starlake !

Our family spent 5 days in a cabin at Star Lake Resort. We had an absolute blast and the owners were very friendly and really seemed to love the place. Our little girls especially loved the kayak rentals and the fairy walk in the forest. When our kids forgot a few small things in the cabin they even mailed them back to us with a nice note without us even asking.
