I've stayed at Paunvina Guesthouse a total of four times in the last two years. The first two visits pre-dated TC Pam, the second visits were after the cyclone. While it has been heart-breaking to see the damage caused, it isn't all bad. Where previously I would have described Paunvina as a jungle retreat, it now has sea views! What...

Caught a banana boat over to Nguna island and relaxed at Charlie's guest house,Anka met us off the boat with a wheelbarrow to help carry our bags along the path to the guest house. John and Leibakoa were waiting for us,lunch was ready and we ate on the new covered patio. Spent the days swimming or wandering around the island...

I spent a few days at Paunvina Guesthouse during a Vanuatu trip. Nguna is a great island and a good way to escape from Port Vila with reasonable transport time. There is some good snorkeling and if you are a keen hiker you can go all the way to the top of the extinct volcano. The bungalows are basic but...
