I have stayed several times whilst walking the Vila Del Sale. A very friendly place with great food. Rooms are large and clean. This is a stunning part of Italy and only 4 or 5 hours walk from Camogli on the coast.

Like others reviewers, we stayed here as part of a walking holiday. However, we seem to have missed out on the warm welcome. After standing in the hallway a long time waiting, an unsmiling girl eventually took us to our room. The rooms are spacious and very clean with a view of the mountains but look out directly onto the...

We stayed for one night on a walking holiday. The rooms are situated up a flight of stairs outside the restaurant, but the views from the balcony were magnificent. The rooms were clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the dinner of freshly prepared local dishes, whilst the al fresco breakfast of cereals and fresh fruit was very relaxed.

The family owners extended a wonderfully warm welcome. Mr Capile Snr came to introduce himself - he does not speak English, but our lack of (any!) Italian did not deter him from sitting with us and talking with enthusiasm and gusto. We understood the command to "eat" and the disappointment when the plentiful delicious food (and wine!) finally defeated even...

If you want a super modern hotel filled with halogen spotlights, emotionless decor and dull reheated tourist food then this place is not for you. If you want a taste of the real magic of italy, then you'll absolutely love it. Warm friendly staff, who will do anything to accommodate you, amazingly tasty freshly made real Italian food, great local...

We were walking the Salt Road through to Camoglie, so stayed here one night en route. The hotel is relatively simply equipped, as it is right in the heart of the the Ligurian hills, but it was one of the nicest we stayed at in this area of stunning scenery. The rooms are spotless, bed linen is crisp and fresh,...

One of the worst B&B´s ever. Located on the main road, parking is difficult, specially if you are going bu bike. The room was old and outdated, smelly, very very hot, and worst... absolutely no air-con. In order to have some air, had to open the windows, which made it impossible to sleep. Our room was right above the bar...

The host was very hospitable. The rooms are basic but clean. Lovely location off the beaten track. Unfortunately, WiFi is only available downstairs in the restaurant; not in the rooms. No pool as advertised, which was disappointing in the middle of summer. Current website photos do not depict the state of the property.

Rooms are fine, rather than great, but in line with location and expectations. However, a genuinely helpful staff, combined with excellent local food, make this great placed to rest weary feet after a long walk.

We stayed only one night whilst we were on a walking tour. Arriving exhausted, we could not have had a more heart warming welcome from the owners, Fausto and Rita: fabulous, huge smiles and good English. Simply wonderful, good humoured people who show genuine caring for their guests. They have recently renovated their very comfortable and clean 3 story hotel,...
