We stayed in Lily Pad 4 last week and would definitely recommend this as a good place to stay and explore the local area. The accommodation is clean and had everything we needed with plenty of living space including a balcony which offers views of the local countryside and is a great place to have an early evening drink.

There is plenty to do locally from walks and sightseeing to a good range of traditonal pubs offering quality food. There are some picturesque towns nearby including Oundle, Stamford, and Lincoln, which is a bit further afield but easily manageable in a day.

Thank you to Jane and Andrew for making us feel welcome and see you again next year!

We have been staying here on and off now for about seven years staying in the various cottages available on site.

We have always enjoyed the experience getting to know both Jane and Andrew, the owners. very well. There has been no issues meeting our needs to the extent that we no longer have to remind them of them.

The cottages are well equipped and has everything needed for an enjoyable stay.

There current Covid 19 measures are easy to follow and were not an inconvenience to us at all.

We have already booked another 7 night stay in Sep which we are looking forward to.

We stayed at Lilypad Cottages for 2 weeks as we were between houses. Jane was fantastic: warm, welcoming and very kindly flexed dates to allow us to stay at late notice. The cottage was spacious and had plenty of space for a family of 4 with both adults working from home - the WiFi was great as well!! My kids enjoyed the swimming pool, which remained open, Covid-secure style. Overall the whole premises was very clean, felt safe which was important given the situation with Covid. I would definitely recommend Lilypad Cottages.

We stayed in the Annex at Lily Pad cottages. It was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Although there is only one bedroom, the sofa bed in the lounge was really comfortable. The area is gorgeous with pretty villages and lovely walks. The owners were very accommodating of our two small dogs who enjoyed their holiday as much as we did. The annex felt private and was very quiet. The booking system for the swimming pool was excellent and I would recommend this to continue post COVID. We hope to return.

We hired number 8 for some friends attending a local New Year party which was very convenient. Everything was ready and available at the time promised for the couple of nights stay. The pool and games facilities were used one evening which is a great space with many activities (particularly when it’s raining outside !)
Thanks Jane

We stayed in no5. Clean, warm and spacious rooms. We had a bit of a problem with the heating on arrival but this was immediately sorted out by the owners. Well equipped. Very accommodating owners with regard to our new pup. The Lily Pad is situated in a pretty village and is conveniently situated for Peterborough and many other places of interest.

We had a fantastic stay at Lily Pad for almost 4 weeks whilst waiting for completion of our new house. Jane the owner is incredibly flexible, accommodating and so friendly. The housekeepers are helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Number 5 has large rooms and a lovely outdoor deck area. The communal facilities are also excellent. Great location for Peterborough, Stamford and Oundle.

We had a lovely couple of days in cottage No 2, plenty of space for a family of 5 and a dog. Nice and quiet, swimming pool was great for the kids and a good size, we enjoyed exploring the area, some nice local walks and a good national trust close by. Would definitely recommend.

We've stayed here quite a few times for work events at the East of England Showground. It's a shame that the showground is closing and we probably won't be back. It's a lovely set of cottages. I would definitely recommend them. Large open plan living and kitchen area, little garden. A lovely village and the walk across the fields to the pub is a must. The cottages have all the facilities you could need. The swimming pool is an added bonus and there's a big TV and table tennis table. This would be a great location for a family holiday with lots to explore nearby.
