Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

We stayed here whilst visiting Bordeaux for the weekend and loved it. It's only a 15 min drive from the airport in a lovely suburb with plenty of restaurants, a super market and a weekly market. The staff were all so accommodating and friendly, the room was basic but clean, comfortable and with everything you need, and the continental breakfast buffet was excellent, with a lot of choice. There is also a bus stop just opposite that takes you into Bordeaux city centre and runs regularly. It's the perfect spot for visiting the city and its surroundings.

Very comfortable and clean family room. The breakfast is very good: eggs, croissants, yogurt bar with many toppings, charcuterie, big selection of hot drinks. Very friendly staff. Very good value for money.

A clean, modern and economical hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. We needed somewhere to stay fairly near Pauillac for the Medoc Marathon and chose the Ibis Styles in Saint Medard en Jalles. It was an hour's drive to Pauillac and we could have chosen somewhere nearer, but after our stay, we have no regrets. There was plenty of parking nearby, free Internet in the hotel, as well as free tea and coffee during the day, and breakfast is served from 6am, so we were able to fuel up with lovely fresh bread, croissants and jam before our race. I would definitely recommend this hotel and if I return, will stay there again. Excellent value for money.

Graffiti on the side of the hotel; you have to pay additional for parking on top of your room rate, which is ridiculous. Surprised this is an IBIS brand. Room was tiny; air conditioning barely worked during the heat wave; hallways smelled like mold. Needs a renovation. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was ok. Will not return.

The hotel is very nice, modern and funky, more space than we expected. The staff helpful and polite.
The downside is the location, little too far from the main city centre. There is a bus stop across from the hotel (line 3) direct to city centre which takes around 45 minutes

Dear Mrs & Mr, We have just forwarded your satisfaction questionnaire to me. I wish to thank you for finding the time to do this during your stay. I have also taken note of your remarks regarding the inconveniences of the distance of the City center of Bordeaux, but when you made your booking, did you check that our hôtel was not in Bordeaux but close to ? the Bus as you notice provide the Service to get there all the 1/2 an hour. I do sincerely apologise for not meeting your expectations; the quality of our customer services should indeed be beyond reproach. I am entirely at your service for your future reservations and I will personally ensure that you benefit from the utmost comfort during your next stay with us. Looking forward to your next visit, Yours sincerely, M.HUET David

We stayed in the Ibis Styles Bordeaux Saint Medard for one night in May 2014.

Pros: Very clean. Big bathroom. Nice shower with a shower screen (which was a nice touch - I totally hate those filthy plastic curtains!). Comfy bed. Strong wi-fi everywhere. Tasty breakfast with plenty of options. English spoken (though a bit shaky).

Cons: Regarding the hotel facilities, nothing whatsoever. However, don't choose Ibis Styles Saint Medard if you want to spend a weekend in Bordeaux - it's too far away (about 20-30 minutes) and you definitely need your own car to get there - and then, of course, finding a parking spot in the city could be tricky. It was great for us, though, because we were just passing by and we had to take the car anyway.

Overall: I’d totally recommend it for a night. We slept well and felt at home.

Very quiet for rooms for rooms with the courtyard view. Hot tea, coffee 24/7.
Great breakfast! Freshly baked bread. Freshly squeezed orange juice.

To start on the only real negative note, I would say that the hotel has no architectural charm, unfortunately it's in a modern building in an older village otherwise, all is good about this place.
The rooms are not very large but well designed and very clean.
The breakfast is simple but very good. Croissants, pains au chocolat...
The staff is helpful. There is a free parking right outside of the hotel.
Altogether for the price they charge, you are getting a real good deal.

Our first stop on the way back to Eurotunnel from Spain and what a great hotel. Plenty of free parking a warm welcome, clean room and great shower. Plenty of restaurants nearby, easily walkable, good nights sleep and plenty for breakfast. Including boiled eggs and toast. Fast checkout worked well, just dropped my room key in the box. Would definitely recommend.

Nice, clean and quiet if you need to stay a night near the airport. No frills but all you need. Also its dirt-cheap if you manage to do an early reservation. Had dinner there as we arrived - that was ok. As was the included breakfast. About what can be expected from this kind of establishment. Friendly and helpful staff.

I am very sorry but I cannot help you with this question. Only the Ibis Hotel can tell you if they have any special travel arrangements for this event at the Stade de Bordeaux. I hope everything works out for you and that you have a wonderful time.
