We stayed for the first time at Cabins at the Domain over the Thanksgiving weekend, we were thrilled to get the one cabin that allowed our dog. We are a family of three with a 13 year old and there was enough space in our cabin “Leontine” for a camp cot for our son. We fell in love with this... More

Two night stay, August 17th & 18th. Very tranquil setting. Quiet lake. Great getaway from all the hectic hustle and bustle of the city. Very bright and clean, no bugs in the cabin. Nice that they have a common cabin with kitchen and dinning area. Make your own breakfast with what's in the fridge or bring your own. WiFi is... More

Cabins at the Domain consists of eight log cabins which are comfortably appointed and beautifully situated on the North end of Drag Lake. They all face the lake with magnificent views of the water and opposite shoreline which at first glance appears to be void of any other cottages. In fact there are just a few, hidden away behind the... More

We were looking for somewhere to stay to visit Algonquin Park and had left it until the last minute. Some of the prices in the area were really high, then we found Cabins at the Domain near Haliburton. The price for a cabin for the 3 of us (2 bedrooms) was really reasonable, especially considering how good it looked on... More

We loved the way that the cabins and facilities are set up. The cabins are cozy old style cabins that have the luxury of a hotel suite. We stayed in Aurelie which lived up to the pictures on the website. The kitchen and living areas are shared, but this was a bonus for us as we were keen on being... More

This please is quiet and in the middle of the woods- or 20 minutes into town. For my husband and I this is exactly what we wanted! There are trails close by for hiking and a big beautiful lake for canoeing and kayaking (both provided for free by Cabins at the Domain). The cabins are the perfect size for 2... More

I encourage everyone to read all the other reviews of this property first before reading my review. These reviews sites are a goldmine of information regarding vacation properties, but it's important to understand that they are extremely subjective. Everyone has their own particular bias, and one man's treasure ... We own a cottage just north of Minden, and I have... More

This is our second year at Cabins at the Domain (formerly Domain of Killean) and we have loved every second of our visits. Each cabin is like a small hotel room complete with comfy beds, warm showers, mini-fridge, microwave, BBQ and wood-burning fireplace. The owner caters to adults and couples and breakfast is provided in a self-serve way. There is... More

Very pleasant stay for 7 days- enjoyed the cabin, and got hooked on kayaking- soooo quiet - really liked the idea of sharing the kitchen cabin in the morning. First one up turns the coffee on. Hostess Lynn was like a sister, so welcoming- and helping all to have an enjoyable time.
