There's not much in the way of places to stay between Haines Junction and Haines. This was an affordable place and the owner was kind and stocked the fridge with a big breakfast for my daughter and I as we had to leave early the next morning to catch a ferry. Don't expect to get tons of Internet there -...

My wife, Lana & I stayed two nights. The purpose of our visit was to hike Kings Throne on July 20th as that was my 65th birthday and I wanted to prove to the world 65 was just a number. Reservations were made in advance and upon entering our room Lana said, "ah, cute." We had a double and single....

Stayed one night in two of the cabins (with 2 couples). It is right on the highway. Bed was very uncomfortable. Only a bath in the room. There are showers in the main area but they were closed when I wanted to use them (after 9pm). There were 4 of us and we were all unhappy with the breakfast option...

We stayed for 3 nights in one of the cabins (myself and my 2 young-adult sons). We loved it. Although off the power grid there is 'green' electricity' 24/7. Enough room for the 3 of us. Very clean. Bathroom is good and clean (there is a tub, but no shower head. You can shower in the adjacent shower 'cabin'). The...

Little cabin rooms, just a short walk from picturesque Kathleen Lake. B & B option was worth it - great food supplied by the wonderful owner. Quaint rooms, a bit dated but clean. Some rooms with fridges and WiFi available - outside the cabin (does not work inside). If you are looking for TV's, radio, entertainment, this is not the...

We stayed one night with 2 adults and 2 teens in our party. The owner was very helpful and polite. The cabins have a full bath with power--which was nice. The kids bed matresses were literally springs, but being kids being kids, they slept fine on it. They also have wifi close to the office. It was nice being so...

A great place to spend a night or two. The cabins are rustic but exceptionally clean. My only complaint was the mosquitoes, but the battery operated skeeter swatter sure did the trick at controlling the ones that got inside. The owners are very helpful and friendly. If you are looking for an upscale room, this isn't it. What it is,...

We booked this room because of an ad in The Milepost and because of its location near Kathleen Lake, Kluane Park and the town of Haines Junction, Yukon Territory. The motel offers three log duplex cabins. The café was not open, but we had been told that when we made reservations. The room was basic, but clean. It had a...

Kathleen Lake is one of the world's great beauty spots. The Lodge is located a short distance away, along the Haines Road. Traffic is light and noise is very limited. These are very basic facilities -- old beds and bathrooms, no televisions, very basic Internet (intermittent), no cooking but a small fridge, and no cafe. The operator is lovely and...

Kathleen Lake Lodge are very rustic individual cabins. The reason for the low rating is due to a few things. 1 - Mosquitos in our room all night. We killed at least 30 and we never could figure out how they were getting in. 2 - The bed was so uncomfortable and 3 - the bedding itself was very threadbare....
