We went there with our 2 year old daughter and it was a great choice. The owners were very friendly and can tell you much about what to do and where to go on Pender Island. They are also well traveled and always have a good story to share, The rooms were very good, comfortable beds and clean rooms and... More

Clean, cute and somewhat quirky. Comfy bed. BUT....the proprietors live upstairs and there was tv noise until 11 pm+. There were no apologies when this was mentioned before our departure, which we thought was odd. As well, this was also the only establishment during our entire gulf island tour that requested a 50% deposit (no credit card..cheque by snail mail... More

We love Pender Island and we brought our friends over this time. Gnome's Hollow is conveniently located which enabled us to tour most part of the island in three days. Dave and Tania are super hosts, with Venus and Katie's friendliness and companion, where else can we find a better place to stay on this lovely island.

Dave and Tania were excellent hosts. Tania prepared superb breakfasts and Dave promptly arrived each morning with a cup of hot tea or coffee. They also were very helpful in making us aware of activities on the island

A true dog friendly place to stay on Pender Island. For the price it is a good bang for your buck providing you do not want to lounge in your room watching TV. The rooms were very basic, clean and eclectic. There was hi speed Wi-Fi. There were no TV's in the rooms. There was a TV in the common room.... More

The "Captain's Room" is, as the name suggests, decorated in a masculine theme. My I suggest if you want duvets, try the "Garden Room". As for feather pillows, due to some people's allegories we have opted not to use feather pillows. That being said, try "Bapcha's Room" as the pillows there have a downy feel. More

We stayed for two nights at Gnome's Hollow Bed and Breakfast and found our hosts, Tania and Dave, to be very warm, hospitable and caring people. In fact, they made a good case for moving to Pender Island! Breakfasts were just amazing, large and delicious. I love animals and so was pleasantly surprised to meet their two beautiful dogs. We... Tucked away in an idyllic Gulf Islands setting, Gnome's Hollow is the perfect place to call home when visiting Pender. Dave and Tania are excellent hosts, friendly and knowledgable, enthusiastically offering the inside scoop on the best that the island has to offer. The rooms are clean and homey. The Garden room is especially comforting, with a large window facing... More

We were looking for a dog friendly place and we struck gold from our dog's perspective. She and the hosts two dogs played endlessly. The human hosts were equally accommodating and friendly, letting our dog in their main living quarters and allowing us privacy or conversation as desired. The room was comfortable with a private bath. Be prepared for loads... More

Gnomes Hollow provided a nice place for us to stay while on the island. Dave and Tania are very friendly and accommodating. Dave is a great conversationalist and was helpful with local suggestions and info. Breakfasts were tasty and hearty. Sleeping was comfortable. Toiletries were minimal so other than a bar of soap you might want to bring your own.

Since toiletries are usually a personal item, we only supply our guests with soap & shampoo. More

We booked this b&b on the strength of its tripadvisor reviews.Who can resist a mystical, magical retreat that promises peace and serenity - and gnomes to boot? What we experienced was a gloomy, oppressive and cold atmosphere that had us craving sunshine and light. Obviously, gnomes are not for everyone or maybe they are an acquired taste.

We advertise our B & B as being in a “Forest Setting”. Sorry, not a lot of sunshine & light in a December forest on the West Coast. More
