Location is the most central you can have in Ruka. Gondol and pistes are just around the corner and the walking village is on the other side of the roundabout. Hotel is starting to be a bit worn out and old fashioned but still on ok condition. Staff was extremely friendly and

I have been to 8 different areas to Lapland all with tui, This is by far the worst, first of all if you have children pick a different location as there are no special activities for children, no elves to play with and Santa was awful. The hotel was ok, we did have to upgrade

My wife read a couple of poor reviews for this hotel, hence we were a little nervous about our vacation. Extremely unjust. We found the hotel to be warm, clean and friendly staff. We had a standard room which we found to be plenty big enough and the beds very comfortable. Wifi

Hotel was excellent could not fault rooms or the breakfast. Very comfortable and clean. Ideal distance to the slopes, which would be perfect for beginner or intermediate skiers. Food was ok - would highly recommend classic pizza for dinner.

We went to a resort nearby last year. Was after Xmas tried to book the Santa village which was about an hour away but was given our money back because there wasn’t enough bookings. Could have got a bus there but wouldn’t risk it myself. You can hire clothing. We only had my 9 yr old grandson with us. It was his first ski, he loved the holiday anyway. Scenery amazing, it is so cold, if you decide to do the husky rides I had all the correct clothing was hands and feet still cold. Well worth going though.

Is there likely to be snow at the end of October?
Most likely yes, at least there are some tracks opened with last winters snow.
