Built circa 1830, The Weir was built to service passengers travelling on the Thames Cargo barges and was one of several pubs about a day’s travel from Canary Wharf. A classic Victorian pub with all its nooks and crannies, a crackling fire in the winter and a welcoming sun trap in the summer. The Weir Hotel sits on the banks of the river Thames, with grand views from our large riverside garden. Located directly on the Thames Pathway a perfect place for dog walkers, cyclists, mariners and families. Hosting 6 en-suite, dog-friendly rooms our hotel boasts 3 balcony rooms that look out over the river, ample parking and 24-hour private access. Only a short drive to London with many local attractions on the doorstep. A three-mile stroll down the towpath sees you to the magnificent gates of Hampton Court Palace. The Weir is the perfect place to eat, drink, peacefully sleep and slowly watch the day go by.

Stayed one night whilst walking the Thames Path. Great location, right on the river. Very comfortable room, large TV, nice toiletries. Staff were all really friendly, in particular, the Assistant Manager, who checked us in and served breakfast. The breakfast was of a high quality. It's a little out of the town but you have the option to eat at the hotel, which all looked nice but we opted to walk into town (amount a mile). There was tea and coffee in the room but no kettle. The Manager kindly lent us his own kettle. There was also an ironing board but no iron. If this attention to detail was addressed, I would give stars. A good night's stay and would recommend.

The hotel is pretty basic but exactly what we needed. Wholesome food, adequate rooms, helpful staff and fantastic location on the banks of the Thames. Great for relaxing. Comprehensive breakfast is included in the cost.

Stopped off for a pint was greeted by an obnoxious landlord who's first words we are all full up go away. After we explained we only wanted a drink not food we were ushered to a table and were told it was free until one.

As there was spilt drink on the table my wife used a paper napkin to wipe the table .mr obnoxious grabbed the box of cutlery and napkins and told my wife off as these were for the the next customers. Defiantly should not be in the pub trade or anything to do with customers.

From the moment we landed at Heathrow Airport we went directly to the Weir hotel in shepperton England. We walked in and met Shirley working the front desk.I can't begin to say how helpful and friendly Shirley was.Sjenis the ultimate host and problem solver.Well myself and my bandmate did not have cell phone service.Shirley took care of that promptly and told us exactly what we needed to do and where to go which was in walking distance. The hotel is laid out in a very stylish and comfortable manner built in the 17th century. My bed was comfortable and so was my room. The bar area is roomy and set up where visitors can chat and meet one another very comfortably.I ordered a pint and some food.I must say it was delicious, certainly the biggest burger I've ever had and quite delicious.I had traveled to England to play some concerts and was fortunate to have picked the perfect location, the Weir Hotel. It was the perfect place to settle down for a few days before leaving for Devon England to perform. I will certainly come back to enjoy their hospitality, the food and their wonderful smiles. Thank you Shirley for everything!

A truly lovely little pub and beer garden on the banks of the Thames - service is friendly and location is a hidden gem on the banks of the Thames between Walton and Hampton Court. We opted for a balcony room with a super comfy bed and a nice view over the beer garden...such a treat to hear the river from our open balcony doors....super soothing after a long day of sightseeing. Dinner selection is great - everything from light sandwiches to full mains. Recommend: The spring rolls appetiser rivals the best spots in Vietnam - super fresh, crispy, and the burger is a hearty and filling one, truly tasty and well balanced with greens and chips. This is a fairly priced hotel with a great vibe. We’ll certainly be back!

Where else can you go to sleep to the rushing sound of the weir through your balcony window and wake up to a view of the river with Sunbury church tower in the background? Just what we wanted on our walk along the Thames Path. Spotless, comfortable and beautifully decorated room. A perfectly cooked breakfast followed a great pub meal on the buzzing river terrace the previous evening. And all at an amazing price for an August evening in South West London.
Thank you.

I stayed at the Weir while walking the Thames Path from Chertsey to Hampton Court. Hotels in Hampton Court or Kingston were either very expensive or would not take luggage due to the Covid pandemic. The Weir is right on the path with a patio by the riverside. I booked a room with a balcony overlooking the river (£95). It is by a weir... as the name implies. So i was able to leave my window open and fall asleep with the sounds of the river.

The room had all I needed - and more. Soap, body lotion, hot chocolate and bourbons.

All staff were fabulous. Helpful and friendly. Which given they were just accommodating to the new rules was impressive. My room (6) was lovely. Well decorated and furnished and I could lie in bed looking at the river. Which I did!

It took me just 90 minutes to walk to Hampton Court Bridge, a lovely and interesting stretch. The bar was quiet in the afternoon but livened up around 6.

Food and service was exceptional.

I spent the evening just sitting on my balcony ...

Breakfast was great. Quiet and layback. Great conversation with the owner, who had also walked the path.

Good luck in these difficult times.

Our family of four, two adults, two children booked in for lunch on Mother's Day. I'm disabled and when we arrived we knew that access would be limited. But, part of the garden had been cordoned off to allow grass to grow making it even more difficult. As soon as the manager saw us struggling to access the Weir he broke the cordon and moved tables to make our access very easy. Once inside we only waited about 20 minutes for our food and it was delicious. The kids had fish fingers and sausage, chips and beans, and my wife, who's vegan, had the pie and I had the steak and mushroom pie. The service was excellent and we will certainly be going back in the future.

Stayed here for the night before venturing into London by train only 30 mins away. Great room with a view, nice beer and great food. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Menu was varied and catered for all of us.
Breakfast was 10/10 and made by the owner. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay or pop in for a drink and watch the various yachts, narrow boats & kayak/canoeing go past. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Breakfast was included and very tasty - see pic

Room was clean, nothing fancy but nor was the price.

Lovely view of the Weir from the room & balcony.
