Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I recently had to use the services of Travelodge for a visit in the area to see family. The staff were warm and welcoming upon my arrival, the building was fresh and my room was immaculate! It even had A/C!!!! My sheets felt brand new, the bed was comfy and honestly it was one of the better travelodges I've spent time in

My lack of knowledge for the area was helped by the amazing staff who helped direct me around and the management seemed genuinely friendly and helpful.

All in all a great stay! 5☆

This Travelodge is a newer hotel so I chose it because of the air conditioning and its closeness to Heathrow Airport (20-25 mins drive away), where I was heading out on an early flight. Parking at the back of the hotel is virtually non-existent (we counted a total of 6 spaces, all occupied) but luckily I had done my research and there is a car park on Manor Road just a few minutes walk away (see photos for details, taken Aug 2022) where it is free overnight.

This hotel is a bit maze-like with long windy corridors but all newly done so very clean. The first room we were given had a faulty air conditioning remote so we were moved across the hallway to another room. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers). I would definitely stay here again if I had another early flight.

We were pleasantly surprised to find out that this moderately priced situated in the town centre of Walton on Thames was nice.It has recently been refurbished and everything is very spic and span.
We were given a spacious room. The reception is found on the first floor. There is limited parking at the rear of the hotel because most of the area is taken up with parking space for M&S customers. The staff are friendly and attentive.
The only drawback is that there is no restaurant providing breakfast or evening meals. However there is a Wetherspoons which offers breakfast

Firstly, the hotel is new and the inside is clean and fresh. Which is to be expected. Parking is extremely limited - three bays+ one disabled. Disabled bay was alongside an overflowing rubbish bin and a considerable amount of waste had spilled and spread over the ground. This made it difficult for my disabled passenger to get out of the car. Large puddle on the driver's side made it difficult for me. Reception is on the first floor. Unmanned. Only a note with a phone number for assistance, but no phone. Returned at 2.30. Was told that we couldn't check in until three. (The hotel was not busy). Came back at 3. Had paid extra for a 'super' room. This was located as far away from the lift as it was possible to get so had to get wheelchair for disabled wife as it was too far for her to walk. Room new, so clean and fresh. Had already paid for wifi (which is a free service just about anywhere else in the world) but still had to go through protracted registration page rather than just being able to login. Pod machine (no instructions) provided coffee from unmarked pods. Tasted disgusting. Shower gel dispenser hadn't been refilled so there was no soap/shampoo. Also, no glasses/cups in the bathroom, had to clean teeth with a coffee mug. Cosmetic touches and trimmed down wages bill leave this as a sadly modern hotel with an absence of character or customer service - it's as if the customers spoil the smooth running of the place.

We hen we arrived the Lady at reception was nice: although we paid for 5 days WiFi it didn’t work most off the time.
We believe the corridors rooms haven’t seen a vacuum cleaner for many years, when we complained about the room not been clean the reply was we don’t clean or make beds. If you don’t you have the moral obligation to inform the guests specially if like us book more than one night we booked 5

Vert adequate hotel fir the price paid Room clean and air-conditioning included in price. WiFi is charged as extra. Real downside is onsite parking... I specifically asked about onsite parking as I am a photographer and have you leave bulky and expensive equipment in my car overnight. I was told that there was on site parking upon booking, so booked a room. What you are not told that there are about 14 car park spaces, which in my opinion is totalky inadeqate for a 55+ room hotel? Please note if you are considering staying here that there is rarely any spaces available on site, but as the receptionist pointed out (I also got the impression that she would have had to yo explain this fact to anyone and everyone that tried to book in) that there were several open public car parks in the area (just a short walk away was the phrase used) nut all are chargeable at up to £9+ per day)
In my opinion not clear, "not on" as deliberately this information is not on either the hotel information or website (for obvious reasons) Disappointed with travelodge for the lack of transparency to the point of being misled (as i had specifically adjed upon booking and would not stay at this particular hotel again. Our room was clean and spacious apart from the tiny bathroom.
The air conditioning was very noisy.
The hallway was filthy and the outside of the hotel was dirty too. The car park is around the back of the building which was not nice in the rain as there was no way in through the back and you had to walk around a busy road to get to the hotel.
There seems to be an issue with giving a bath mat and 2 hand towels. For me these are basic things.
There also seems to be a policy of not cleaning. You can hang a sign outside your door which says „Top me up.“ This means you will get new towels, bin emptied and two new teabags, but no hoovering or anything else.

I arrived and registered in this hotel at the recommended time(need to pay if you want to register early) and found the staff very friendly and helpful.
You have to pay for the WiFi if you're going to use it for more than 30 minutes. The price is fair and it is very easy to connect to.
The rooms are a good size and en suite . There is tea and coffee available but no restaurant on the premises but the amount of eateries in the area negates this.

Good location.

Get a room on Marks & Spencer side of hotel then you can use M&S free wifi rather than pay extra for travellodge wifi.

Carpet in hall ways needs vacuuming but overall good.

Can get bus to Heathrow for 4.70 from just down road.

Excellent central location in Walton-on-Thames. Easy to book and indeed check out with helpful staff. Rooms are decent size and all newly furnished. This visit our shower was too ecofriendly, low water pressure and volume. Close to shops and Excellent eateries nearby.
