Early days yet as the kitchen is not ready to produce meals, but the Hog Roast on Saturday saw the pub buzzing with a great atmosphere, A hen night ( quiet and restrained) and every seat filled outside on the new decking. Much brighter and enticing inside with new paint and revamped loos. Very busy at the bar but enough...

The recent renovations to the crown inn are fantastic, there is a lovely atmosphere with very friendly people and staff, extremely family friendly, It's good to see there is now a baby changer, also very safe now as the steep steps have been removed and replaced with a ramp, good for the pushchair!! Looking forward to visiting with my family...

We've been to the Crown Inn three times now since re-opening - it's clear that money has been invested the outdoor decking area with patio heaters and new fireplace being my personal favourites. I understand the bedrooms have also been refreshed but cannot really comment on that but I would stay definitely worth a stay!! The atmosphere in our opinion...

We saw the signs on the A515 after a busy day at Ashbourne Show, we were in need of a good ale before heading home. The Crown Inn was fab, very friendly staff, obviously undertaken big changes recently - good luck. We will definitely be back once the restaurant is open.

The Crown Inn has now re-opened and what a transformation! It has been totally transformed and is a credit to the new Owner and Team! Great seating area outside with patio heaters to keep you warm on a summers\winters night. Decor inside is great with a lovely log burner for those chilly nights! Staff are warm and friendly with the...

The newly refurbished crown inn is excellent, we would recommend this lovely village inn for family, couples and friends. The service from staff is impeccable, and the beer is great. We went on the opening night and enjoyed a BBQ that served locally sourced burgers and sausage (very tasty). Facilities have been massively improved too, including the newly surfaced car...

We stayed here for one night en route to Dorset on holiday on 1 August 2014, nearly a year ago. Given the mixed reviews, I felt it only fair to review the Crown, even after all this time. Booking-in was no issue at the bar and our room was in need of an upgrade, but had everything that was needed...

My wife booked thiz hotel for its convenience to Alton Towers and that it was a real ale pub. My son and I arrived to be told the pub was closed. This left me and my son with the issue of no evening meal on a bank holiday weekend. We wrre also the only guests staying. Rooms comfortable enough although...

Room booked by Steve Howitt for partners birthday on Good Friday. The room was small and cramped with a broken bed. The bar is expensive but guest beers were nice. Food was great, not much choice for vegetarians. Yes we were woke up in the morning by a crowing cockerel but we were in the countryside. The room and bathroom...
