Another visit to this lovely friendly hotel. Well fed once again - the few pounds we saved on the 2 night DBB package we added to our waistlines 😉 Dogs made very welcome as usual 🐶 Rooms have everything required and lovely and warm in the cold weather. Rather comfy bed too 😊

We are a group of 4 ladies who stopped here for lunch en route to Hoar Cross Hall Spa Hotel for the weekend. We ordered drinks plus one carvery, a couple of crispy chicken wraps and a chargrilled steak sandwich on brioche. Everything was very tasty, a decent size and good value for money. The atmosphere in the pub area...

It was a lovely experience, the food was amazing, the staff were so friendly, the atmosphere really set a good mood for the meal. I would definitely recommend going there for a nice meal out or maybe you could have a nice weekend relaxing and enjoying the wonders of the Derbyshire peaks around you.

The Boar' s Head Hotel is famed in this rural area of Derbyshire, for its superb carvery . There is also a bar area and an a la carte restaurant in this 17th century establishment., owned by the Crooks family. But the carvery.......! "I couldn't make such a good roast dinner at home, for this price" is often heard said...

Booked for business trip, staff is superb, but rooms unfortunately aren´t. It´s ten to five in the morning, and I haven´t being able to sleep, my matress is awful, springs everywhere, and the walls are that thin that I can hear the guy next door snoring as he was in my bed. The room smells like a wet dog. So,...

We stayed here when we went to Alton Towers for Scarefest. The Carvery was "ok", it wasn't hot, it was warm and I found myself eating it fast before it went cold. I had to ask for more roast potatoes as they served me up, only two and they were tiny. The breakfast was ok, no beans on the menu...
