Stayed as part of a bridal party. We were welcomed to a stunning accommodation with complimentary cake and eggs. The accommodation had everything we needed and more. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and the beds/linen of good quality. Phillipa (host) was extremely helpful. The morning of the wedding went smoothly and it was a lovely location for photos. After the wedding we all made the most of the hot tub which was of good quality and well maintained, walks in the area, and a pub around a 5 minute walk away. Overall a fantastic stay and I cannot wait to return for another trip in the future!

Staying in the Couples Retreat at Hall Farm Holidays, we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The owner met us on arrival and showed us around the cottage which was very equipped and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the hot tub perfect after those walking trips. Tip… visit the Red Lion pub, great food and a welcoming environment. A great few days a way in a perfect place. This was the most perfect place to stay for our wedding. The cottages are beautiful and Phillipa was very helpful and welcoming. We stayed in the Retreat and some of our family stayed in the other 2 cottages. Thank you so much for a lovely few days!!

Firstly, massive kudos to Philippa - the most fantastic host you could ask for! Emma and I booked The Mews, The Retreat & The Old Smithy for our wedding accommodation (married at Grangefields, July 2023) - for the close family, bridesmaids and best men. The accommodation oozes personal touches of high quality, giving the properties personality you don’t normally see. In the Mews, we hosted a pre-wedding bbq overlooking the sheep & lambs, that were eyeing up the complementary biscuits that Philippa left us to feed them (or atleast I hope that’s what they were for!). After the bbq, we had a little pre-celebration in the hot tub with all of our loved ones; the hot tubs are modern and pristinely clean. Although we had a few guests visiting, Philippa could not have been more accommodating, allowing us to have such an enjoyable (yet respectful) time. Perfect venue for our weekend get-together (10 adults/1 dog) to celebrate a 90th birthday with all the family. We booked all three properties. Attention to comfort and detail is exceptional. Philippa is an abbasolutely fantastic host. Hot Tubs much appreciated too. Local market town of Ashbourne well worth a visit. Also recommend Matlock-based private caterers 'Rhubarb Kitchen' who prepared and served up delicious home cooked food to suit all the generations on Saturday night.

We stayed at The Retreat at Hall Farm Holidays as we were getting married at a nearby venue - Grangefields. From the moment we arrived until we left, Phillipa was a fantastic host and nothing was too much bother for her. She made us feel really welcome and the eggs, milk and lemon cake on arrival was a very thoughtful touch. The cottage itself is a converted stable, with more than enough room for two people (and for several bridesmaids, photographers, and hair/makeup people!). The farm complex is gorgeous and keeps within the local countryside feel. Absolutely loved meeting the sheep and the hot tub was the perfect place to unwind after a hectic wedding day! We would definitely recommend staying there and hope to return ourselves. While we didn't get time to enjoy the surrounding countryside it's perfectly placed for anyone wanting to visit Ashbourne or Dovedale! We're so glad we picked this for the wedding weekend as it was everything we needed and more. We would definitely recommend it to any couples getting married at Grangefields (or guests). Our stay in 'The Luxury Barn' was really lovely. We used the barn for a couple of nights before and after our family day out to Alton Towers. The barn is nestled in a beautiful part of the Peak District. Tucked away in a courtyard the barn is a real home from home. The hot tub at the back of the property is a lovely way to relax with a bottle of fizz. The barn is surrounded by gardens/ fields with some very friendly sheep. The owners are very helpful and very accommodating. Ticks all round, hot water, relaxing lounge area, excellent kitchen with the usual facilities and very good bedrooms with comfortable beds. We would happily recommend and hope top stay again one day. Thank you

We hired The Mews and The Smithy to renew our wedding vows. Phillipa was a superb host and couldn't have been more helpful and also calm and welcoming. The hot tub is superb, a high spec tub . We arrived to a home baked Victoria sponge and cupcakes. The Mews is a very special building, we invited 4 couples and everyone was making plans to return with their own extended family. Both cottages are lovingly maintained and equipped with quality furnishings and stocked very well with all essential items. Phillipa has a great eye for style, luxury and comfort combined with convenience. Ashbourne is only 10 minute drive away, the Thai restaurant comes highly recommended. There are great walks all around and within a short drive away. Plenty of parking space. Phillipa lives on the same site and sheep live at the back of The Mews. Never-the-less Phillipa is discreet and respects privacy as do the sheep but they do like a firm rub and digestive biscuit if you're inclined to call them over. We oved our stay and will be back.…

We stumbled across Hall Farm Holidays as a result of our wedding venue, Grangefields recommending them and we were not disappointed! Staying in the Mews the night before the wedding with family, getting ready and accommodating photographers, make up artists and hairdressers, this was the perfect setting for our wedding morning. Then an extended break in the Retreat as newlyweds was again, absolutely flawless! The houses are truly stunning, the attention to detail and gorgeous decor is like nothing I’ve seen before in other holiday lets. Phillippa is such a warm, welcoming host and is clearly devoted to making your stay one to remember. Larry the lamb was just an added extra bonus and my 4 year old niece was besotted by him.
