The staff were wonderful and supportive. Accomodation was basic but adequate and met expectations. Overall a worthwhile experience. I'd recommend this retreat for anyone wishing to experience Ayahuasca.

I took all my savings and traveled to the other side of the planet with numerous aero planes busses and boats. Not out of mere curiosity this time but for specific reasons. Depression, and what follows in its footsteps, has been my companion for as long as I can remember. I thought for a long time that it was my "ground...

Worth the price and time. The staff, especially Mel and the shamans were amazing. I only wish our work schedules would have allowed us to spend more time there. The accommodations were ideal for the experience and I have returned home with both a better perspective and renewed sense of hope and self.

This place came under good recommendation and I can now see why. As soon as i set foot on the grounds I could feel myself being drawn into the beauty and stillness of the rainforest. Our house was immaculate and always kept clean. We had an amazing fruit bowl and herbal tea delivered every morning by the staff which really...

If you're wondering whether or not you should come to this particular Ayahuasca retreat, I can confidently tell you to stop searching now and Refugio Altiplano is the one. I came as a skeptic from Canada going on intuition - a hunch that I should come here. I left with confidence, a sense of fearlessness and an overall feeling that...

Before trying ayahuasca, we performed pretty extensive research. The Refugio cost a bit more, but i am happy to say it is easy to see where the extra money goes. The facilities are top class and comfortable, the staff are friendly attentive and knowledgeable. The setting is incredible, a large property on the banks of the amazon in the rain-forest....

Refugio Altiplano is a very well run retreat center, to go deep with the medicina.. Everything about the experience with their team of knowledgeable staff was reassuring to know that they know how to help people work with such powerful plant spirits.. Thank you to Jose for his clear guidance and years of work as a shaman. The housing was...

Refugio Altiplano is an amazing place. This is no ordinary place to stay. It is an experience. A life changing experience. I stayed here on a 12 day Ayahuasca retreat. It is an intense and experience. Nothing light. It is hard in places. But if you feel that Ayahuasca is for you then I cannot imagine a better place on...

Words cannot do justice the profound experience i had at Refugio. like everyone writing on here i was after healing for a life time of spiritual knocks. Jose and Horacio are amazing healers and work from a place of deep love for people. I am not sure how they have the stamina to do what they do, but they are...
