A fantastic little pub with outstanding food! Spent a night here and it was so restful. Staff very friendly and helpful and the location is gorgeous. Had Dinner, Bed and Breakfast deal which was fabulous value. The chef is very talented. Only criticism is that it was very warm in the night and it was difficult to get ventilation into the room (but it was unseasonably hot!) Would definitely recommend.

I used to visit this place 30 years ago when it was just a village pub with quite good . Now it has been transformed, and the food is some of the best I have ever tasted. Booking way in advance is probably essential.

Was initially put off by the prices and limited choice on menu. We chose the Lamb shoulder and pork chop. To merely call our dishes this is to do the meals and the chef a disservice. It was the most exquisite chop and lamb shoulder we have ever eaten. This food was made with love and respect for the ingredients. Beautifully presented and portioned. Good service. Lovely ambiance. I can not recommend this enough. I look forward to returning.

If you choose to stay at The Black Swan I honestly don’t believe that you will be disappointed. Everything and I mean everything is as it’s website states. This is a fabulous place to stay, it is really doggy friendly we ate in the bar with our dog and the atmosphere was great, lots of people providing a lovely vibe to the place. The food was absolutely delicious, there were a good choice of real ales on tap and to finish it off each there was a delicious breakfast. You really can’t go wrong here and we cannot wait for an excuse to come back. It is worth saying that the current pandemic measures being taken at the hotel were very good.
