Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A warm and friendly welcome as always! The weather was wild outside but snug and cosy in the beautiful cottage which has everything you need. The outside spaces to sit, relax & enjoy the scenery are fabulous. Loads of walking options near by - re-trod some old favourites and found some beautiful new spots along the River Eden. Always a pleasure to be back at Corner of Eden.

Absolutely one of the best places we have ever stayed. The attention to detail is incredible and it really felt like a home away from home. It made our wedding weekend even more special and being able to share our time with family, in the farmhouse next door, made it even more special. We were planning our return on the first night we arrived.

Second visit - did not disappoint, how could it ever disappoint....... We have previously stayed in Shepherds Cottage, 2019, and this time we were lucky to get a 'couple rate' for The Farmhouse. Debbie & Richard have decorated and furnished the properties to a stunningly beautiful standard, they set a high bar across the board.

Best cottage ever. Bed, shower fantastic. Interior so well done. Hamper was great and well used. We truly relaxed and could not get enough of the views and walks nearby. We will definitely be back. Debbie & Richard thanks for making such a welcoming place for us to stay.

Angel Barn was just perfect for our family celebration. Beautifully restored, everything was top quality which made for a very special stay. The lovely hamper( bread and cake especially yummy!) was one of many thoughtful touches. Red squirrels, dawn choruses all added to our luxurious stay in the amazing Eden Valley. Can't wait for our next stay.

The setting of Angel Barn is stunning. Surrounded by glorious views in every direction the place is steeped in peace and tranquility. The building has been refurbished with great style and love to produce a wonderful home. Our group was made up of five adults and a baby and our hosts made sure we had everything we needed to really enjoy our stay. The beds were very comfy (the duvets were extra warm) and the showers were super powerful. The kitchen is the heart of the home and we spent many happy hours in it. We enjoyed local walks and travelled into the Lake District too. There are great pubs and cafes in the area. We would not hesitate to recommend Angel Barn as a holiday destination. We hope to return!

Our stay was perfect. The cottage is very quaint and cosy, perfect for a relaxing few days away with some lovely walks on the doorstep. Debbie and her husband have thought of everything to enhance your stay from the welcome hamper to Epsom bath salts. I’m looking forward to what the new rental in Harris Scotland has in store as I can only imagine that will be perfect too.

We are a group of three couples in our fifties (or thereabouts!) who, after lockdown delays, finally made it to this particular corner of Eden. It was worth the wait! We stayed four nights and had the most wonderful time. Debbie and Richard have put a great deal of thought into Angel Barn, and it felt like a really luxurious place to chill out with friends or family. The views are amazing, the experience of sipping champagne whilst soaking in the hot tub under the stars, with just the sounds of nature around you, felt really decadent! We went walking locally, sampled most of the local pubs and restaurants, and also went to Ullswater for the day (recommended!). A fantastic place, for which it’s worth paying that little bit extra.

My wife and I made a last minute decision to take a week away. Hunting the internet I found A Corner of Eden, more specifically Angel Barn. What a great decision. Angel Barn is probably the best self-catering cottage we've stayed in. We could not really fault it. Much has been written about it already and I agree with what has been said. A walk across the fields to Ravenstonedale for lunch is well worth it and there are three eateries to pick from in the village. This is definitely on our list to return to.
