We returned after 2 years and were not disappointed. Excellent in every way that was important to us. Well equipped quiet room on the ground floor with a comfortable bed and pillows. Spotlessly clean. Friendly owners. Very healthy breakfast beautifully presented. Free parking and wi-fi. And delightful landscaped grounds to sit out in. We were welcomed with tea and the best rock cakes ever, to enjoy at a table in the beautiful gardens. Highly recommended.

We have just stayed 2 nights here in the twin room. Clean and tidy guest house and lovely hosts. The breakfast was good and I felt very healthy afterwards. Cake and tea on arrival in the beautiful garden. Near to shops and restaurants. Enjoyed the stay.

Nothing more to add from my last review except fabulous, we are back again in August 😎. Adrian and Rae are amazing hosts and their service is outstanding, please disregard the previous negative review , I’m not sure if it is genuine but all I can say is I think they have issues! The owners daughter also provides massage and therapeutic services in the garden cabin which is a lovely touch. Most breakfast items are homemade and they just know how to provide a quality wholesome breakfast, it fills me up until evening which is a rarity for me. Home made fudge on arrival, the small touches really do mean a lot , nice quality restaurant close by, excellent base to visit beautiful Dorset

Clean room, nice bed. Some breakfast aspects were nice (fresh fruit, home-made yogurt). It was 9 degrees outside (unusual for late May) and no heating was on. The room was cold most of the time. They reluctantly offered to put the central heating on if we really, really had a problem with the cold room and they did for a short while, but it just wasn't enough. Woke up to a cold room again in the morning. They supplied a (small) oil-filled radiator, but it took a while for it to produce heat. Problems with the hot water as well. It was lukewarm to cold when we arrived - and too hot the next morning. We didn't have a shower because even the bathroom was really cold. Limited breakfast choice. I was hungry afterwards. Only one slice of toast each for breakfast (despite one of us not choosing cereal). B&B owner asked many questions which I found a bit intrusive. Incense burning all day/night in the hall. Not really a proper hospitality tray as you can find it in a lot of B&Bs/hotels. Only a few teabags of strong Yorkshire tea in the room, no biscuits. We were offered tea on arrival (which we turned down because we'd just come from a coffee shop - due to the earliest check-in being 4pm) but no flapjacks or cake or anything as suggested in the reviews. No proper kettle (just some weird hot water machine) - I couldn't even fill my hot water bottle because it was awkward without a normal kettle. Hand towels hard to find (hidden in the wardrobe).

My husband and I came to Dorset due to a family bereavement and booked to stay here due to the amazing reviews. We were not disappointed, Rae and Adrian are the most welcoming and hospitable hosts who go above and beyond to help and ensure your time with them is problem and stressfree. Their house is beautiful, the decoration is exquisite and so clean. We were only supposed to stay 2 nights but after 2 nights at poor hotels in Dorset we decided to come back for the remainder of our time in Dorset. It was our wedding anniversary today and when we came back to our room they had left us a chilled bottle of prosseco! If we ever come back this way we will definitely stay here. Don't hesitate to book a room, it really is as good as the reviews say.
