We had a lovely two night stay, breakfast was lovey and the rooms very comfortable. The bottle of water alongside the tea and coffee in the room was a nice and very welcome addition. Thanks for a great stay and for the most comfortable beds ever!

We have just had a very enjoyable stay at The Old Station House. The location was perfect for us as we were walking in The White Peak. On-site car parking and a short 5 minute walk to a pub chain for something to eat was a real bonus. Our room was cosy and well equipped with very comfortable beds and linens so that we each had a very good night’s sleep. The tasty, home cooked breakfast completed a very good value and pleasurable stay which we would happily repeat.

We stayed here for 4 nights and this was our first time in Derbyshire. We wanted to see Chatsworth house and also visit an old school friend who lives in the area as well as doing some Geocaching. We always check out an area for the amount of geocaches then decide on where to stay! The old Station house bed and breakfast was centrally situated to suit our needs, 10 minutes from Chatsworth and in reach of some good geocaching series near Bakewell! Perfect! The communication with the owner of the b&b was exceptional and nothing was any trouble for her. We had the bedroom with the twin beds but she made them up into a super king size bed for us. She gave us detailed instructions as how to find the house and where to park, there are 3 dedicated parking spaces for guests, which is good as parking is at a premium on the road. Check in was 4:30 and as we got there early afternoon we parked up and let the owner know our car was parked and we were going for something to eat. This was not a problem, so off we went to the nearest pub The Grouse and Claret 😡 read our review on TripAdvisor about this pub meal! We checked into our lovely home/ b&b for the next 4 days. There are some steep stairs to the bedrooms but we managed and we're in our mid 60's. Our bedroom was clean and tidy with an en-suite shower room. A lovely warm duvet which we could happily brought home with us! 🤣 The shower water pressure was a tad low but in this day and age we should all be saving water. After a good night's sleep we were looking forward to our breakfast to set us up for a day at Chatsworth house and we were not disappointed! It kept us going for the best part of the day and the home made bread was particularly delicious 🤤 We couldn't fault our stay at all, the owner and her lovely mum made our stay special, thank you! We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast, the area and the geocaching! We will be back as there is just so much more we want to do.

Received a lovely warm welcome from Victoria on a wet and chilly evening. We were shown to our bedroom which was extremely well equipped, and cosy. We both had an amazing nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. We had chosen our breakfast the night before and can honestly say the full English breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay, we are looking forward to returning in the summertime .

Spent 2 nights here great location for visiting Chatsworth. The room had everything we needed-a superking comfortable bed, a fan to help deal with the very hot weather, a nice view, birdsong from the garden, a good shower and a welcoming tea tray. The breakfast was really splendid. Thank you Victoria for being our host.

We arrived for an overnight stay, to a warm welcome from Victoria. This historic house is filled with interesting and eclectic art and 'objets', giving it a real feel of home from home. We had a spotless room with en-suite, everything well thought out, and with everything for our needs. A restful night in a really comfortable bed was followed by a first-class breakfast. One of the best B&Bs we've stayed in. We can highly recommend it. Thank you Victoria -- hope to stay with you again on out next trip to the Peak District!

Excellent location and allocated parking close by. Host is very welcoming and and the welcome brief was informative and I was left with no questions. Room size was adequate for me and had everything I needed for my stay. The bed was top notch and I had a great nights sleep. Breakfast is cooked to order, there are a really good range of options and is cooked really well. The host has clearly been doing this for a while and it shows in her welcoming attitude. This is a return visit for me if I am in the area.

The Old Station House B&B at Rowsley was very convenient for visiting Haddon and Chatsworth estates and for cycling the Monsal Trail and Tissington Trail. The were two pubs nearby for eating or having a drink. Free parking was available. The property is very near to the road. Vicky Friend gave us a warm welcome and was most hospitable. The bedroom was very small and compact but lacked nothing and the premises were very clean and attractive. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and there was a wide choice.

Stayed here for 2 nights as attending a wedding at new year in Sheffield followed by reception at East Lodge Hotel, owner Victoria, made us feel very welcome. Excellent stay, room quite small but warm and cosy, was perfectly adequate with tea and coffee, room for clothes and a small but good ensuite with all that we needed. Excellent breakfast at a time that suited us, nothing was too much trouble. Will certainly recommend to friends
