I booked 8 nights this week for 4 friends. Booking was made easy with no fuss. The all were made very welcome by the manager and his wife + the staff. rooms were good, food was good. They did early breakfasts with no problems. This is the place to stay in this area.

A spotless good size room with a very comfortable bed. Friendly and polite staff. Good food. A quirky pretty building, well decorated and interesting. Sadly we didn't have time to appreciate the local area.

Well it was January and it was a warm and wonderful location, quiet due to the time of the year but as a result we were spoiled by the hospitality. The bedrooms are large, comfy and clean and are an amazing price we paid £50 for the night - when there is a characterless premier inn 10 mins drive away...

The pub itself is fine and the food is good. However, we stayed over for 2 nights in our camper van for New Year's Eve. The price to camp, with electricity, was £23.50 for each night, not cheap for camping by any means. We expected to have to pay more as it was New Year, so that wasn't too much...

Popped in for lunch on a long walk, I t was very busy and we hadn't booked but the friendly greeter got us a little area by the bar as we only wanted a quick bite. Lovely falafel flatbread and a lovely pulled pork and chicken flatbread for us both and we were ready to start walking again. The chips...

We booked at the "Grouse and Claret" in October for four for the festive menu, 2 course meal for £14.49 per person, because it is only 8 miles away from home. Marstons sent us an "early bird voucher" for £10 off our next meal before the 9th December. I made the booking on line and paid £5 each deposit, then...

Service was fast, efficient and friendly. I ordered a steak which was cooked perfectly to my order and was asked if it was right when it was brought to my table which was a nice attention to detail. However it was not the best quality, very chewy and not much flavour. My family member order the rotisserie chicken with bbq...
