We turned up at the venue without having booked in and we were able to eat in the bar side. The staff were very pleasant the food was really good and well priced considering the venue. A great end to what had been a great day.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We do pride ourselves on being a dog friendly hotel and dogs are very welcome to stay in any of our rooms. We do not allow dogs in the bar, restaurant or lounge so as to not disturb other guests, no matter how well behaved the dog may be. The Peak District is a haven for dogs and dog owners and we hope we can be a base for people to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside. We apologise if you feel that the information you received was misleading and are sorry once again for your experience. Kind regards, Jazz

It’s about 3.5 miles to Chatsworth. My taxi to the Peacock from Matlock station, about 4.5 miles, was £15 in May 2018.
