We are regular Travelodge guests and whilst this was an okay stay it was slightly marred. Travelodge inexplicable charge for wi fi, we'd paired a phone and tablet and even after a call to their help desk they were unwilling to let us pair a second tablet instead of the phone so had to pay a further £3 for 24hs. I'm not tech savvy but surely with wi fi you can pair as many devices as you like! Why they charge is beyond me as it feels like an under handed tax. The rooms are small and in need of refurbishment, the black lines you see around the tile pic is mould. The skirtings and walks are marked and dirty but the corridors are clean. The lack of investment is plain to see, a worker told me they've waited years for a lighted exterior sign as it's difficult to see at night due to the location. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. We had an issue with our TV losing pictures, a power outage and loss of water. Luckily the power and water were only transient issues. Nevertheless, they did negatively impact our stay as did the TV problem and the Rip off wi fi. We have already got our next visit booked to use Travelodge which we do 2-3 times a year so this is written without malice. The hotel needs investment for a much needed refurb as in its current state Travelodge still demand premium rates which is incongruous given its current condition. It's 3-4 miles outside of Hereford town centre and there are other hotels in optimum positions around Hereford. The staff do their best but just need more support from management and this has the potential to be a really good hotel in all respects. In summary: Average. Could do better/needs improvement.

Stayed at this travelodge for three nights was pleasantly surprised it was very clean and tidy. It is situated on the outskirts of Hereford there is a restaurant next to the travelodge but when we arrived they said it was closed due to renovations. With travelodge you really need to have car or you have to do some research on buses. If you require a quiet room you can ring them up and request and they try and accommodate you.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Chose this particular site because it was close to Hereford, where our daughter lives, who we were visiting, and the overall price was reasonable. Easy to book on-line and easy to find, being on the A49 into Hereford. We tried to book in early (before 3pm) but there are a limited number of rooms available for this option due to the number of cleaning staff, so we booked in later in the day.

Parking was plentiful, the booking-in process easy and the staff friendly but we were immediately disappointed to find that the adjacent pub/restaurant had closed some months ago, meaning that, other than a packed breakfast available from the Travelodge reception, there was nowhere nearby that we could get a meal or a drink, unless we drove into the city. This should have been made clear when we booked. Therefore, this location would not be suitable for anyone using it as a holiday base.

The room was very clean and tidy but very basic with little storage space (only a short hanging rail projecting from the wall and no drawers or cupboards). The "cubby holes" either side of the bed were too small for even a mobile phone. The bathroom was adequate and the shower hot and quite powerful. Other than one plastic chair and a basic "desk" there was nowhere to sit and relax.

Checking out was easy with a drop box for the key card.

Stayed here for a new nights with my partner to have a few nights away to relax and chill

On arrival. Staff were polite and helpful! Yet went onto tell us that the 'double' room we had booked was a 'twin room' due to us booking 'later' compared to others staying the same nights.

The room however, no matter how 'budget' a hotel is, cleanliness should be a high priority, however this was not the case.

The carpets looked like they had not been cleaned for weeks, and hasn't even seen the likes of a Hoover! Definitely did not want to walk around without my shoes on to potentially tread in left over of god knows what.

The smell in the room was a smell of unclean. But couldn't pin point what it was.

The nights we stayed no cleaners had entered the room although we complained to staff that the room needed a clean they explained they would clean the following morning due to 'cleaning staff' being unavailable, this clean again did not happy and the room remained untouched and uncleaned during the visit.

Overall, very disappointing stay and would not recommend this to friends/family.

Yes this is a budget hotel, but when cleaning needs are ignored there's something wrong.

The upstairs of the building and the room we stayed in was unbearably hot! The windows open about an inch so no air in room. Half of our group staying in the room next door left at 5am as it was so unbearable. The fans provided were hopeless. It wasn’t an unusually hot day outside and even first thing in the morning when the outside temperature was maybe 10c it was boiling in the room. We’re not expecting 5 star hotel with a Travelodge but would expect to sleep. Shouldn’t be allowed to charge people to stay in those rooms without seriously improving ventilation or installing aircon. Really disappointed to pay £90 for each room and barely sleep as it was so unbearable.

Nice quiet hotel, comfortable beds and pillows. Temperature control in the room. Minimal traffic sounds, didn’t hear any other guests at all. Everything was spotlessly clean. Room was well aired with no fragrance/air fresheners which is fantastic due to my allergies to chemicals.
Large mugs and reasonable amounts of tea and coffee supplied.
Lovely hot shower with great water pressure, large fluffy towels which felt brand new.
Was able to borrow a hairdryer.
The downside was the bathroom, there is a step up to get in to the bathroom, and another step to get into the shower making the room seem like it is for able bodied people, but, the toilet was a lowered toilet for wheelchair users…very difficult for people with back issues to use, which is four out of five of us staying in the two rooms booked.
Great to be able to book a ‘family room’ for my three young adults to stay in together on short family trips.
The breakfast box was not suitable for us as there is no gluten free option for Coeliacs.
Very reasonably priced.

This Travelodge was extremely clean, warm, cosy with a very relaxed feel. Although there were quite a few people booked in with dogs the rooms were very sound proof and our dog was happy and relaxed. The bathroom was beautifully clean and the bed was really comfortable. The Staff were very friendly and polite.

Since I was promoted to write a review, I will. The experience began as we pulled off the highway to a miserable chap who couldn’t care about checking anyone in. That’s ok, I wasn’t there to make friends. As I got my room key and made my way upstairs, the change in temperature was strong, but hey, surely a place like this would have solutions! Yes! A small desk fan that at best moved a micro amount of hot air towards you, and at its worst, broke. Need to clean yourself from the sweat? Surely a shower would suffice, but be careful, there are no bath mats supplied, so you may slip and neck yourself in the bathroom. Added to this embarrassing possible event, if someone were to find your unconscious body, they’d find an unclean version of yourself as the fixed wall-mounted soap is empty, and there are no other toiletries. Also. Those long hairs sitting on the curtain are certainly not yours, but the hairs of the previous guest, or cleaner. Providing you manage to shower safely, your next problem comes if you need to dry your hair. Because Travelodge Hereford have taken away any possibility of accidental electrocution by not providing a hair dryer. So, you’re almost ready to head out with having rinsed yourself and have a damp head. Time to iron your shirt and hit the town? Wrong! Because Iron’s are also a danger, or an expense, whatever, there are no irons in the room. Want to try and tell your buddies about the near death experience? Make sure you pay the £3 a day Wi-Fi fee before you do, as reception does not reach the rooms. When it’s finally time to leave your room for the day, your option is a breakfast box, “full of your favourites” such a Kellogg’s cornflakes, and a croissant or some sh!t. Yeah probably avoid this place at £135 a night, I’d have gotten the same experience in my car, plus Wi-Fi.

We chose this hotel because of its location to a wedding party.
Bathrooms are not kept to a standard I would not consider acceptable. Mould is present along many grout lines and sealant.
Decoration around the desk is poor, cracking paint and plaster. See images.
The reception was however pleasant and efficient.
For 90GBP per night excluding breakfast, a Premier Inn provides me with better value for money.
There are no hot breakfast options at this hotel. I would not stay here again.

Wanted somewhere near to Hereford for a couples trip. The Hereford Grafton was perfectly situated and had a handy pub (Grafton Inn) across the driveway so we didn’t need to go out the first night. Was absolutely fine. Receptionist was lovely. Rooms were as expected. Not plush but functional and kind of a bit tired / in need of a refurb. That said, the room was nice and cool, quiet and all the staff very friendly. No on-site dining facility but you can get a breakfast box that has a carton of OJ, milk, cornflakes, a pain au chocolat and a flapjack. A good find and would recommend if you need a quiet, functional stay near Hereford.
