Arrived with a colleague at around 5pm. On first look The Bell looked alright. Check in was good and on arriving in the room all looked to be satisfactory. However, firstly there is no 3/4G in Woburn. There was no wi fi other then The Cloud in the hotel which didn't work at all. Went across the road for a... More

The Bell Hotel could do with a lick of paint, but don't be put off. The beds were the most comfortable we had come across. Although on the Main Street it was quite quiet. A very enjoyable stay. The breakfast was excellent with many choices on the menu. Beware of the guttering over the entrance especially when it is raining!

I booked a two night (superior room) break in this hotel with my husband. The first night was in room 11. It was very small and the en-suite was the smallest bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel, it was claustrophobic! After enquiring if this was in fact a superior room we were moved to room 1. This was... More

Having stayed in the Milton Keynes and Woburn area for the years now, this is my first time in the bell as I couldn't get into the Woburn. Overall, pretty poor, the old English inns brand is interpreted as an excuse to deliver poor furnishings, tatty repairs and generally sub standard facilities. The bed was particularly bad, in an age... More

I was taken aback by this place. It is a long time since I have been to somewhere quite so scruffy and uncared for. Not to mention drab. Do not be fooled by the name 'suite.' This just means an ensuite bathroom, not the space and comfort you might imagine. Not to mention a receptionist who spoke no English whatsoever... More

This place is awful, and I mean awful. Dirty, unwelcoming, beer was terrible, breakfast awful, all the customers complaining. Bill was wrong, just wanted to leave. How a lovely place like Woburn, ends up with a place like this is beyond Jez!

What a shame, the carpets, curtains and paintwork are filthy. The exterior could be so much better, flaking paint and dirty brickwork and doors are anything but inviting. The owner manager Deepak seems a nice guy, friendly and helpful but ultimately he is fighting a loosing battle. The bed linen was clean and the beds comfortable.

Visited this olde English Inn for a 2 night catch up with an old friend. Rooms a little tired, window frames and sills in need of a good clean, but facilities reasonable quality for the price paid. Staff friendly and helpful, a special mention for the maid Philomena and the gentleman serving the excellent hot breakfast. The hotel is split... More

Last Visited this Hotel 2 years ago, but it has become run down, needs renovating, decorating, bathroom had dirty tiles, window in bedroom cracked, just did not appear clean, curtains were tatty. Breakfast tables needing throwing away, loose varnish on table top. At £85 for a Saturday night this was way overpriced. Shall not be staying again.
