We stayed here for a single night in order that we could see a show at the Hippodrome. The hotel is conveniently located for both the railway station and the city centre but is not too close to the late night bars and clubs. That said, this grumpy young man noted that there were groups of friends staying at the...

Thank you for your comments, I am sorry that in some respects you did not enjoy your stay with us. Other guests may care to note that in every room there are pillows of two differing levels of firmness (the firmer ones are kept in the wardrobe) and we do have mattress enhancers available on request for those who prefer...

Plus: Great value for money, the location of the hotel is nice, in the centre of Bristol Great food and wonderfull staff in the restaurant and bar. Nice facilities like a health centre and the general areas look nice and cosy. Minus: Lots of trainees at the reception desk, no enthousiasme and very basic service, sometimes even rude. The beds...

Got a Happy Monday deal for this hotel which was a bargain. Stayed here for one night for footie, which was quite a long walk away. Good size modern bathroom with bath and shower. The room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent, similar to previous Novotels we have stayed in but better and more choice. Staff were very...

We had a family room with a cot provided for our baby. Nice room and good to have a fridge available to store his food etc. Had a modern, clean bathroom with no annoying fan noise when you turned the lights on! (v. useful with a sleeping little one in the room!).

Stayed here with my boyfriend for two nights over the Valentines weekend. We booked via laterooms.com and got a superb deal considering the quality of this hotel. The décor is incredibly classy, the facilities are well maintained and it is very very clean. We ate in the restaurant on one of the nights and it was very reasonably priced. Only...

Rather grand foyer and cheerful, efficient reception. I didn't particularly appreciate the hard-upsell, I was tired and just wanted to get to my room, but caved for "executive" grade: in practice means a Nespresso machine (big deal) , a bathrobe (didn't use it), films (low-res telly, didn't bother) and internet (the dreaded Quadriga wired, which didn't work with my Mac...

Thank you for your review, I have shared your comments with my Head Chef who is naturally disappointed, given the weight of favorable comments we receive about our food. Please accept my apologies for this. I am pleased to advise that from June we are offering complimentary wifi to all guests. Tim Howes, General Manager

Often large city centre hotels are soulless places. Not in this case. Good value , clean and spacious rooms. Comfortable double sofa bed when two chaps sharing a room. Great breakfast and helpful and cheerful staff . Bar area a welcome oasis from a hectic weekend. Easy walking distance to city centre shops, restaurants, and night life. Would certainly recommend.

Stayed here for just one night a week or so ago, room lovely and clean, very spacious, facilities excellent. Location ideal for exploring the city centre, just 10-15 minutes walk into the centre of town and the main shopping areas. Had the breakfast in the morning which was lovely, plenty of choice and good quality food. Would definitely stay here...

Pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Stayed here last month for the 1st time. Overall, clean tidy and pleasant experience. Room was spacious and tidy. Only criticisms with the room was that the window had a bird 'leftover' which was there for a few days. Secondly there was a daily charge of £10 for wifi in the room. For a business/corporate...
