We had to book in to Bristol for eye surgery during lockdown. This hotel was perfect location for the clinic and so easy to find and close to car park. It was a very challenging time not just due to covid but because surgery got cancelled twice and we got sent home early once after arriving. I can honestly say EVERY member of staff was so kind and understanding every time we had to change our arrangements. The hotel itself was covid safe and secure,comfortable and good value. I cant comment on breakfast as due to covid restrictions normal breakfast facilities weren’t in operation, but we did get a lockdown breakfast in our room which was the best they could do. We will deffo stay again.

My only problem was being charged £20 to use the parking. There was no mention of this before booking. It is deceptive to offer good value rooms - if you then charge £20 for parking. This should be mentioned at the point of booking.

Firstly, I am pleased that you found our hotel to be great with good value rooms however I am disappointed that you have scored our hotel so poorly based on the cost of the NCP parking tariff. Sadly, as a city centre hotel which does not have it's own car parking facilities; we can only offer our guests the discounts which are made available to us by NCP. I have just returned home from a 4 day break and was very impressed.The price was very competitive,our twin room faced onto a busy main road but there was no noticable road noise.Our bedroom was comfortable with air conditioning that actually worked and could be changed manually.The bathroom was larger than most with an excellent shower.The breakfast was included in the price and was perfectly adequate considering the restrictions that are in place during these unusual timesThe hotel was very clean and all nessasary covid measures were in place.The hotel is not situated in the most attractive partmof Bristol but is very central,only a 5 minute walk to Cabot Circus shopping centre which has a good array of shops and restaurants and is also only a 15 minute walk to the riverfront/old town area which has numerous attractions...I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone staying in Bristol.…

We stayed here for 2 nights for a weekend in Bristol. Ideal location being in the city centre. We had read the earlier reviews and was expecting a brown paper bag with our breakfast in it, however there is now a buffet breakfast with cereal, toast and some cooked items available. We thought this was done well given covid restrictions. Rooms are standard - what you would expect staying at a large chain hotel. We didn't have any issues with cleanliness. There was a bit of noise from the road, but this quietened down overnight and nothing more than you would expect being in a city centre location. There is no parking at this hotel, there is an NCP car park next door/underneath and you are able to get 25% off parking if staying at hotel, however we found a website called justpark.com and found an individual garage with a key fob and automatic door a 2 minute walk from the hotel which was £15 cheaper for the weekend than what we would have paid with discount at the NCP. So definitely advise looking around for other options re parking.…
