My wife and I stayed here a couple of nights while travelling through Buckinghamshire. The Malt House is tastefully restored and decorated and offers a very comfortable retreat after a busy day’s exploring. The bed is well up to standard for a quality establishment and the bathroom is the best appointed and most spacious we have found on our trip. The owner is cheerful and accommodating and made certain our stay was a good one. A further advantage is the proximity to a number of pubs and eateries within easy walking distance.

Property's Favourite Review
This place is set back in its own grounds very close to the town centre. It was an easy walk for me from the train station when i arrived. I had stayed before and really enjoyed my visit, and it has recently completed what I would call a 5 star upgrade to the property. I have stayed at many top rated international hotels and this place is high on my list of favourites and is finished to a very high standard, and i like that it is privately owned and operated. You can tell the owners care about their guests experience and I would highly recommend

Response from Arden Marshall, Owner at Malt House Aylesbury

Thank You so much for commenting on our what you termed our “5 Star” Renovations. We have indeed extensively renovated all our rooms and bathrooms since your last visit. All our rooms are now either ensuite or with a private bathroom (a choice depending on budget , but all offering the same feel of luxury). As avid travellers ourselves, we want to provide our guests with an experience that feels more luxurious than being at home ,and from the fabulous reviews we have received so far, we seem to be achieving this . We are still what we call “Accommodation Only”, which means, we don’t have a breakfast service, however , all rooms are supplied with a mini fridge filled with high quality breakfast items ( for the 1st morning) and a tray set with white china and crisp white linen, for guests to enjoy . Thank you again for your appreciation , which means so much !

This place is a hidden gem, I’m so pleased I found it! I stayed just one night whilst on a course. It’s just 15 minute’s walk from the centre of Town but once inside the gates it feels like a peaceful sanctuary. My room was beautifully clean & very comfortable, with lots of little thoughtful extras. Just what I needed, thank you!

This a lovely, clean and comfortable place where the owners have gone all out in putting in some special extras. Proper italian Coffee and individual cafetieres, tasty biscuits, fresh fruit and greek yoghurt. The gardens are beautiful, the welcome fantastic and the location a safe and short walking distance to the theatre and restaurants/pubs

I stayed here while on a course - it was absolutely perfect. The owner, who lives on site , couldn't have been more helpful. The room was beautifully furnished, extremely comfortable and beautifully stocked with everything a traveler could need. Also as a woman traveling alone it felt really secure and safe. Would hightly recommend.

A gem ! that I am so glad I found. Superb is the word that comes to mind. An amazing hostess that thinks of everything. My room was glorious, I didn't need for anything & so many lovely added touches. Very handy to the centre of town, in easy walking distance. Would totally recommend & look forward to returning.

Absolutely loved our one night stay here. One of the best places we have stayed. We stayed as we were attending a concert at Waterside Theatre and it's so conveniently located for the theatre and town centre. Everything was so clean. Beautifully decorated and equipped rooms. Stunning gardens But what made the stay extra special was the little touches & attention to detail at every turn. Really helpful hosts. We very much hope to return and 100% recommend a stay here- what a gem to have found

I made a last minute booking as my flight was about to take off and how lucky was I to end up at Malt House. It is a lovely B&B hosted by a cute couple, Arden and Rob, who take pride in keeping the entire premises in immaculate condition and have put effort on smaller details. The place was clean and cozy, everything I needed for my one night stay was provided for, the garden outside was a sight to behold, and knowing that I was visiting by myself, they took the time to ensure that I was comfortable and spent a good part of the evening talking to me over a couple beers. I felt like I was hanging out with friends I hadn't seen in a while. I mentioned needing transportation next day and they made it a point to arrange it for me. I truly had a great experience and made my first day in a new city so much enjoyable. Thank you for having me as your guest and I will forever recommend Malt house to anyone visiting here.

Very nice accomadation from lovely hosts and a lot of attention to detail for a comfortable stay. Lovely property with lots of character and secure parking. Stay in a lot of hotels through work, but this was a pleasurable experience rather than a chore working away from home.

Stayed for 2 nights. The set-up suited us perfectly. The room and bed were very cosy and comfortable and the host, Arden, had thought of everything we could want. Breakfast items provided in the room were fantastic - fresh fruit, yoghurt, granola, proper coffee. Luxury toiletries in the shared shower room. Robes and slippers. The space was very clean. Ideal for independent travellers. We didn’t meet the host but had text contact to ensure everything was ok. Self check-in worked well as we arrived late in the evening. Secure off-street parking a bonus. Approx 10 min walk into the town. We tried 2 local pubs (within 2min walk) for a drink which were nice - Old Millwright Arms and Aristocrat.

We are delighted you loved your stay. We have since completed major refurbishments to all our rooms and bathrooms . All our rooms are now either ensuite or have a private bathroom, there are no shared bathrooms anymore. As avid travellers ourselves, we hope to provide our guests with a touch of luxury and from the reviews we have received so far, we seem to be achieving this . We are “Accommodation Only”, which means, we don’t have a breakfast service. However , all rooms have a mini fridge filled with high quality breakfast items ( for the 1st morning) and a tray set with white china and crisp white linen, for guests to enjoy breakfast in their room. Guests can also enjoy generous discounts on cooked breakfasts and brunches at our highly rated local Partner Restaurant. We hope to see you again so you can experience our now newly improved environment.
