Yet another grim institutional dorm of Cambridge. Rooms would satisfy the average monk. Cool feature- no sound insulation between rooms- enjoy hearing your neighbor's phone buzz through the walls! There are some grand original halls. Not really practical for anything. Also a range of uninspired meeting spaces that will make you want to jump out a window.

We booked a double room for a Christmas party here. The building and grounds were very impressive, even in the depths of December and the public areas were clean. The room was clean and tidy, but very basic. There was no minibar as described, and the bath was very small, however the shower was great. The buffet food at the party...

Madingley Hall is a Cambridge University property that is a continuing education residence that is open to the public for B&B when rooms are not committed to courses. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the buildings are stately and impressive. Our room was warm, clean, and comfortable, with a terrific view across the quadrangle. The buffet breakfast is served...

I stayed here with a friend while Christmas Shopping, it's about 4 miles from the city centre, beautiful location and gardens, the inside is old and well kept, rooms are small but very clean with everything we needed and a good buffet breakfast, will be staying again next time in the area

My room was no different to many rooms I have had in budget chains. The room was blissfully quiet to start with, but grew noisier as people returned to their rooms. Doors were a little noisy, but the sound of keys grinding in locks was dreadful. (How about a little wd40 to help things along) There was mould all over...

Party was held is several well sized rooms, disco, casino, quiet and cocktail rooms, there were lots of us. Thought the bars could...

I booked a single room which was clean and spacious as was the ensuite bathroom. The room was warm, the bed comfortable. One of the things that I like about staying in University owned facilities is that the standard of cleanliness and food are both high. The room was a nice size with a nice en suite. The setting and building are noteworthy. The bed was not the most comfortable one we experienced in our travels but it was not terrible. The...
