Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A comfortable stay in a pleasant room. High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail. Impressed by the breakfast as well, wide choice of options, nicely presented and prompt service. Will return here when back on business.

My wife and I have been customers of this delightful family-run hotel for 30-years. It is located within easy walking distance of the railway station, the shops and the colleges. A freshly cooked 'full English' breakfast is included in the very reasonable room rate and the rooms themselves are extremely comfortable, but it is the friendly, ever helpful staff that make the hotel what it is, the best value for money hotel in Cambridge.

Very handy for the station and Botanical Gardens. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Rooms very clean and very comfortable but as the bed is set under the eaves in the attic rooms, you just need to be careful of your head when getting in and out of bed.

Very pleasant. Excellent evening meal and breakfast the following day. Easy walking to the centre of Cambridge. Our attic room was compact but ok for a 2 night stay. Limited parking but you are warned.

The hotel is about 10 mins from the station and 20 mins into the City (minimum- it is a big place!). Excellent location but on a very busy road. If you have a front room this could be an issue (it wasn't for us though). Very clean. Breakfast great. Staff friendly and informative. Very chilled and lovely environment. No lift, so if you have mobility issues could be an issue if you end up with a first floor room. They do have great floor rooms. Rooms spacious and warm. Excellent stay overall.

Very good receptionist helpful with regard to map, places to visit and transport issue. Very welcome personality. Very good room lots of space and very clean. Delightful bathroom. Excellent Breakfast. Thought evening meals rather expensive for what it us and some lack clarity with regard to food and price on the menu. It was not accurate in stating what was included it the set price and not included.

We stayed one night, we were going to a Corn Exchange gig, the hotel is 15 minutes walk away, past a Weatherspoons , convenient for the post gig drink. It has free parking, it’s immaculately clean, staff are welcoming, friendly, helpful and front desk is manned 24/7. It’s downstairs restaurant is where good quality breakfast can be taken, rooms are warm, comfortable, the bed is soft and welcoming, bathroom with shower was what I wanted. It really was a little gem, ideal for non expensive trip to Cambridge, it will be out go-to place for our next visit

Stayed overnight at this hotel. Found the staff friendly and helpful and the rooms nicely decorated and very clean as were all the public areas. A good sized car park I had no trouble getting a space and when I asked to leave my car a bit longer after checking out this was not a problem. I went and left my boots in my room and when I got back to my car they had left a note on my windscreen informing me I had done so, I thought it was superb customer service to do that and I happily went home with my boots. We only had breakfast but dinner was an option as well, breakfast was very nice, served quickly and piping hot. Will definitely stay again when I visit Cambridge which I do on a regular basis. Cannot recommend enough.
