The Helen Hotel is not too far from the City Centre, and we've used it many times now. On every visit we've been made to feel completely welcome. The rooms are clean, the shower and toilet spotless, and the breakfast large and full of choice. Parking is easy.

We stayed at the Helen Hotel for one night. The room we were given was very spacious and clean with really comfortable beds. There was a buffet style breakfast with adequate options. The only drawback is the location as it is approximately a 25 minute walk from the city center...

It seems Cambridge is an expensive place to stay so finding the Helen was a stroke of luck; free Parking, 20 minutes walk into town, bus stop outside for tired legs, perfect. Staff very friendly ad helpful, room comfortable and clean, hot shower in bathroom very welcome. Add to this lovely breakfast and I'd certainly stay again. Think b&b rather...

Used for overnight visit to the city. Hotel with b&b feel. Very handy location, near train station with city bus stop opposite. Plenty of free parking and they kindly let us leave the car there for a few hours after checking out. Lovely, plentiful breakfast and very friendly, helpful staff. All at a reasonable price. What more do you need?!

Stayed here for 2 nights. It was convenient for the station but a half hour walk to the city centre. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was plenty of storage space and reasonable sized rooms and plenty of hot water. The staff were friendly and the lounge area pleasant. I'm not sure buffet style hot breakfasts work that well,...

The room was large and well equiped, unfortunately the creaking floors in adjacent rooms and the constant low noise from the kitchen extract, interupted peace. A reasonable location to walk to the centre. Staff were efficent rather than friendly.

Located within an easy twenty minute walk of the City Centre, Hotel Helen offers excellent value for money. Besides being spotlessly clean, the noteable facilites include free off street parking (an issue elswhere in Cambridge) to both front and rear of the hotel, and a fresh buffet-style breakfast to suit all tastes. Despite being fully fit ouselves, the ground floor...

We chose this hotel because of its location, being only about 20 minutes walk to the city centre. The fact that free parking was available was an added incentive, as previous visits to Cambridge had highlighted the fact that parking can be a problem. The hotel was comfortable and clean, although the decor in places was a little "tired". Our...

I was going to a gig at Cambridge Junction and this hotel could not have been more convenient - it's less than a 5 minute walk away. All the staff that I encountered were very pleasant and helpful. There are 4 parking spaces at the front of the hotel, and additional spaces around the corner (all free). I had a...

I stayed only for one night as I my brother in law was being interviewed in Hommerton college opposite to the hotel. The room was nice, small but with TV and a large bed and private bathroom. Breakfast was nice as well as all the staff.

“Ask for rooms toward the back - although the Helen's set-back from Mills Road is such that I don't think front rooms would be too noisy.”
