Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Sayle House when visiting Cambridge! The house is located in a nice quiet neighborhood and just a short walk along the river to the downtown area. Lesley and Brian are wonderful hosts and they prepare a great breakfast every morning. I would highly recommend staying there on your next visit to Cambridge.

We stayed two nights at the end of a three-week visit to the UK with our 14-yr-old granddaughter, a lovely ending to our trip...as if we were welcomed into the elegant home of dear and generous friends. The house is at the end of a quiet residential street, north of the Cam, past the local pub, and across a footbridge to Jesus Green and Midsummer Common. An early morning run takes one along the river west to the city and colleges, or east where rowing shells are training in the morning calm. Then back to the house for a perfect breakfast on crisp linen. Nothing could be nicer.

We had the most wonderful stay at Sayle House, it was immaculate yet intimate. Our Wisteria Room was beautiful overlooking the garden. The bed was heaven with a firm and soft pillow for choice. The bathroom was heavenly the size of another room with a gloriously large shower and bath. Our breakfast was plentiful and delicious thank you for a relaxing stay. The location was ideal a short walk from Kettles Yard. We hope to be back soon!

This beautiful house is one of the loveliest we have ever stayed in. Wonderful hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble. Tea on arrival in the lovely sitting room. Our room overlooked their beautiful garden with tea and coffee facilities and biscuits if you are peckish. The bed, bedding and towels were superb and lots of little extras in the room and fresh flowers. The choices for breakfast were plentiful and locally sourced .The elegant breakfast room overlooking the garden was a joy as was the beautifully cooked and presented food.

What's not to love! Sayle house is just beautiful; calm and elegant, with everything you could possibly need for a truly enjoyable stay. The beds are sooo comfortable, our bathroom was enormous, with a heated floor and stunning freestanding bath and the breakfast was delicious. Fresh fruit, bio yogurt and a full English too. Brian and Lesley, our hosts, were warm and welcoming and it's clear that they've put so much thought into creating the perfect place to stay. We'll be back...

This little treasure was recommended by our village neighbours. It was just perfect for our overnight stay in Cambridge city. Situated in a very well appointed position, with secure parking...plus just enough distance away from the city centre so we could walk around the city easily. Our hosts Brian and Lesley were very welcoming We could see the amount of hard work and effort they put in, but they are a very calm couple. The house and garden exuded calmness. The bed and pillows suited us perfectly and we had a really peaceful and comfortable nights sleep. Our room was spotless. Breakfast was such a delicious treat, especially the home made conserve!! We will be back soon. Thanks Brian and Lesley once again x
