We stayed for a week at this fabulous boutique style B&B. Our room was lovely with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom, with bath, and a shower over the bath, and gorgeous toiletries in plentiful supply (even hair conditioner!). There was always plenty of hot water. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the room - no instant coffee sachets here, a cafetiere is provided with ground coffee and a variety of tea bags. No long life milk in pods either. Fresh Alderney milk is available at all times from the fridge in the breakfast room. Breakfast is amazing with plenty of choices and the staff are lovely. There is a residents' lounge with games aplenty if the weather is inclement. There are no evening meals, or a bar here, but the sister hotel, the George, is a few steps away and is a lovely cosy pub and restaurant. All in all, a great place to stay. Alderney is a beautiful island with amazing scenery. We enjoyed walking around the coastal perimeter and following some of the local trails. For historians, there is an abundance of forts and bunkers to visit, left from the wars. …

I really can’t fault this place, well appointed rooms, nice communal areas, great nights sleep and one of the best breakfasts I can remember in a long time. The choices are amazing, the Mackerel was to die for :)

If you can afford the air fare, this is the most relaxing location there is. The Victoria ticked all the boxes and we will book here again. Alderney is unique and takes you back to better times. If you get the weather, there is nowhere better. The fact that flights are so expensive, makes the Island a quiet place, even at peak times.

We have visited several times and, as expected, we had another very comfortable and relaxing stay at The Victoria. As always the breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and local produce where available. Our room, Longis, at the rear of the property was very comfortable and the bathroom well appointed. Thanks to everyone for making our stay a home from home experience and we look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

We spent a lot of time at the 'sister' restaurant and bar (Georgian House) wich was great - superb food at reasonable prices, all really well served by friendly and helpful staff. Similarly, the staff who served us breakfast in the Victoria were also superb Sadly our room at the Victoria was a real disappointment: 'Corblets' is the only room on the ground floor, and if you stay here you will be woken by the front door slamming closed throughout the night; and then the first people to arrive for breakfest at 8am, as the room is directly opposite the breakfast room (with its open door); and also by people in the room above you (its an old house but I know from my own experience it isn't difficult to sound proof a floor). Sadly two nights of great food and drink were really spoilt by two nights of very poor sleep. So, stay here and enjoy the food and service, but really think twice before staying in Corblets on the ground floor!…

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We really appreciate the kind words regarding The Georgian House and the breakfast at The Victoria. Rest assured we have taken your feedback very seriously and the door mechanism on the building has been modified so it no long slams. I can appreciate that this room is one of the noisier rooms at The Victoria and can only apologies for the way that this impacted your stay with us. We would really like the chance to welcome you back to The Victoria, so in addition to the £20 discount already offered on food at The Georgian House, I would also like to offer a 10% accommodation discount which can be used at The Georgian House or The Victoria on your next stay with us. Please give us a call to book and we would be more than happy to help. Hope to hear from you soon. Warm regards, The Victoria Team X

As we both have gluten/dairy intolerance we were amazed at the fact we had a good choice of 'free from' both at the Victoria and it's sister hotel 'The Georgian House'. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the room/bathroom was clean and well equipped. The jams and marmalade provided at breakfast were all homemade and available to buy.

We stayed as a family of 4 (kids 5 and 7) in one of the family rooms. It was absolutely perfect for our time in Alderney. The room was spacious, with huge bunk beds to give the boys plenty of space and a lovely comfy king sized bed for us. We often used the sitting room which is such a bonus extra space, with squishy sofas and plenty of games and beach supplies, the boys would do drawing or play card games after breakfast and it was a good space for us to relax in the evenings once the kids were asleep. The breakfasts at the Victoria are amazing! A good range of cereal, fruit, yoghurt and juice, and a fantastic menu to suit the fussiest family! Delicious local produce, perfectly cooked pancakes and yummy homemade jam (with lashings of Alderney butter) to keep us full until lunch. We loved every minute of our stay here, I was tentative at first as we hoped to find a self catering cottage, but having the excuse to eat out at all of Alderney’s excellent pubs, cafes and restaurants made it feel like a real holiday. Thank you Holly and the excellent Victoria team, we will be back again!…

Our second staycation in 6 months and we chose the Victoria based on availability, proximity to the main amenities and their reputation for good service. We were not disappointed. Our room was very comfortable with the usual little extras in terms of tea and coffee, and a good range of toiletries in the bathroom. Complimentary towels for the beach were available and we were pleased to be able to make use of them! A wide ranging choice of dishes on the breakfast menu, all beautifully prepared and very tasty, and local produce where possible. The staff headed by Ally were friendly and extremely helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much and will go back for more of their lovely hospitality,

Rooms are clean and well appointed and the staff are so friendly. Breakfast cooked by Ali is as good as it gets in any hotel anywhere! There is nothing to dislike and a quick walk across the road takes you to the Georgian where the staff and food are 10/10.
