We recently had a most enjoyable three night stay at The Victoria, Alderney. This was only possible because all Islands in the Bailiwick are free of Covid-19 and we have no local travel restrictions within the Bailiwick, although any visitors from outside are, at the time of writing, obliged to remain in strict quarantine for 14 days as soon as they arrive. This is closely monitored by the authorities.

We were on half board terms, with the excellent breakfasts taken at The Victoria and other meals at The Georgian, just a few yards up the street. We could not fault either establishment. The staff at both establishments were polite, efficient, helpful and very happy too; locals residents all seem to value and appreciate the support of Guernsey visitors.

We are certainly planning to visit Alderney more regularly and next time, I won't forget to pack my camera to record the abundant wildlife, including the blonde hedgehogs.

Our second staycation in 6 months and we chose the Victoria based on availability, proximity to the main amenities and their reputation for good service. We were not disappointed. Our room was very comfortable with the usual little extras in terms of tea and coffee, and a good range of toiletries in the bathroom. Complimentary towels for the beach were available and we were pleased to be able to make use of them! A wide ranging choice of dishes on the breakfast menu, all beautifully prepared and very tasty, and local produce where possible. The staff headed by Ally were friendly and extremely helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much and will go back for more of their lovely hospitality,

We stayed for a week at this fabulous boutique style B&B. Our room was lovely with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom, with bath, and a shower over the bath, and gorgeous toiletries in plentiful supply (even hair conditioner!). There was always plenty of hot water. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the room - no instant coffee sachets here, a cafetiere is provided with ground coffee and a variety of tea bags. No long life milk in pods either. Fresh Alderney milk is available at all times from the fridge in the breakfast room. Breakfast is amazing with plenty of choices and the staff are lovely. There is a residents' lounge with games aplenty if the weather is inclement. There are no evening meals, or a bar here, but the sister hotel, the George, is a few steps away and is a lovely cosy pub and restaurant. All in all, a great place to stay. Alderney is a beautiful island with amazing scenery. We enjoyed walking around the coastal perimeter and following some of the local trails. For historians, there is an abundance of forts and bunkers to visit, left from the wars.

This is great place to stay, very central to local eateries and a good base for exploring the Island. The breakfast is plentiful and sooooo goooood, there is so much choice, not your run of the mill fry up I can assure you and really sets you up for the day. Our room was comfortable and sparkly clean with real coffee and tea pig teas. I would make this my 1st choice for B & B on the Island.

This small hotel is a gem - central location, the highest standards of decor, comfort, cleanliness and service along with a fantastic breakfast with a wide range of choices - fresh local produce and cooked to order.
It's very quiet and private and the sister hotel/pub/restaurant is just across the street.
It's often fully booked so room availability determines my visit dates to Alderney

We planned to stay at The Victoria for two nights. We had a very friendly welcome from Ally on arrival and quickly settled in to our weekend stay. Due to Alderney weather we decided to stay a couple more nights and Ally sorted everything out for us so that we could stay on at the Victoria she even offered to lend us her car so we could go to the airport to sort out our flight (we didn’t need to in the end but what a lovely gesture).
Ally and the whole team are so friendly and really make you feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble.
The rooms are very clean and well furnished.
The whole place is relaxed and you can even help yourself to milk and water from the hotel kitchen fridge.
The breakfasts at The Victoria are absolutely fabulous with a good range of cereals, yoghurts etc and an excellent choice of hot food. Everything is cooked to order by Ally and it all tastes great! I have stayed in many hotels and this breakfast is one of the best if not the best I have ever had.
Their sister hotel The Georgian House is just across the road and has a great bar serving fantastic food. Their Sunday roasts are to die for!!
Would definitely recommend a stay.

We stayed as a family of 4 (kids 5 and 7) in one of the family rooms. It was absolutely perfect for our time in Alderney. The room was spacious, with huge bunk beds to give the boys plenty of space and a lovely comfy king sized bed for us. We often used the sitting room which is such a bonus extra space, with squishy sofas and plenty of games and beach supplies, the boys would do drawing or play card games after breakfast and it was a good space for us to relax in the evenings once the kids were asleep.
The breakfasts at the Victoria are amazing! A good range of cereal, fruit, yoghurt and juice, and a fantastic menu to suit the fussiest family! Delicious local produce, perfectly cooked pancakes and yummy homemade jam (with lashings of Alderney butter) to keep us full until lunch.
We loved every minute of our stay here, I was tentative at first as we hoped to find a self catering cottage, but having the excuse to eat out at all of Alderney’s excellent pubs, cafes and restaurants made it feel like a real holiday. Thank you Holly and the excellent Victoria team, we will be back again!

We have just returned from a very relaxing 5 night Staycation in Alderney and enjoyed the accommodation at the Victoria Hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfasts are extensive, varied and set one up for the day. We hired a car and parking close by is not a problem.

As we both have gluten/dairy intolerance we were amazed at the fact we had a good choice of 'free from' both at the Victoria and it's sister hotel 'The Georgian House'. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the room/bathroom was clean and well equipped. The jams and marmalade provided at breakfast were all homemade and available to buy.
