Detailed Reviews
We booked a last minute camping trip and were allocated a great corner position without electricity and welcomed by a friendly and helpful host.
The site isn't large. It is well located in the Cheshire countryside and close to some visitor attractions and nice pubs. There is easy access to main/A roads nearby but the farm location meant this site was quiet and relaxing.
The site is well maintained and the other guests onsite were very helpful and assisted whilst we pitched our tent for the first time without instructions!
There are washing facilities onsite which were clean and easily accessible. Overall we'd recommend the site to anyone looking for a break in the south Cheshire countryside.

Just had 3 nights on the site and would highly recommend it. Great pitch size, good arrangement around the outside with loads of space in the middle for the kids to burn off energy. Shower block and toilets kept very clean and they have put in place social distancing measures - my only recommendation would be to allow family groups (men and women) in both shower blocks to cut down on queuing time. Pre-arrival info was very helpful and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. Would definitely return if we were in the area again.

Great communication from the start. It felt friendly before we got there. A bigger site than anticipated but with a lovely feel to the place. Very clean shower and toilet block and never had to queue. Plenty of hot water at all times. My husband picked a pitch right next to the road but there was very little disturbance from it. Bold statement from a light sleeper.
The owner was so lovely. We needed to freeze our ices blocks and without going into detail ( as everyone will expect it, lol), was overly accommodating and trusting. Thank You.
I would stay again if in the area.
20 minutes walk into the village led us to 2 pubs. Great food at the Sportsmans.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at Pitch & Canvas for 4 nights just before the Jubilee celebrations and we couldn’t have had a better time!
The pitches are all spaced out so you never feel like you’re encroaching on other peoples’ holidays and the facilities are well maintained and cleaned each day.
The owner is delightful, always on hand to help and always lovely to chat to.
It was our first time camping and it couldn’t have been a better experience!
Thanks so much to Pitch & Canvas for the perfect break - we can’t wait to return!

We camped for one night and had a lovely stay. It's only a short drive from shops if you need anything. Barbecues and fire pits were allowed, and there was a good mix of people glamping, camping in small tents and pitching in larger ones. Pitches were a decent size and there were both electrical and non-electrical. There was a breakfast van that came in the morning too, although it ran out of food! It felt friendly and the owners were easy to contact to book and check in. The shower and toilet block, and washing up area was maybe a little small for so many people, but we didn't have much trouble for one night. Only thing I'd say is that the toilets were cleaned overnight but not restocked with soap/hand towels. Would definitely recommend!

Myself and my son stayed at the pitch and canvas for 2 nights. The camp is in a great location, with access to plenty of activities nearby. The camp is a great set up, not overly busy and the pitches are good sizes. Both toilet facilities and shower block was kept clean throughout our visit. Suzanne and the other staff members we encountered were friendly and go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay. There is a little village about a 20 min walk(5 min drive) away, with a few pubs, a great little park and some takeaways and restaurants.
The camp do a fire pit hire along with bags of wood.
It was a great trip at a great price and we can't wait to book to go again!

I highly recommend this very beautiful, peaceful campsite. The local village of Tattenhall is stunning and Delamere wildshore Aquapark is only a short drive away which is lots of fun. The owner of the site was very friendly and helpful, she even opened the shop out of hours so my son could get a Fanta lemon and complimented how polite he and his friend was. We will definitely return in the near future, we had a brilliant time at pitch and canvas, thank you very much.

Lovely small campsite. Friendly welcome and spacious pitches. Showers and toilets clean and tidy - and never a queue (but the site was only 1/2 full).
Would have been a 5* review but for the road noise (pitch adjacent to the road).
Lots of room for kids to play on the field.
Fire pits available and logs to buy.
Relaxing atmosphere (make your own entertainment)
Would stay again but ask for a pitch on the other side of the field.

We stayed for 2 nights in the Peckforton View caravan on 10th and 11th Sept. One double room and a twin. 4 adults. Communication prior to arrival was fantastic. I needed to get to a wedding venue in Christelton on the evening of 12th, and needed a cab. These are hard to come by with the area being so rural. The owner provided all the info I needed and even offered to take us, but was out that evening herself and was unable to, but what hospitality!!
The caravan is clean, comfortable with a fab powerful shower. Hot water and nice comfortable beds. We had no problems whatsoever. Great price too. Unfortunately my mum in law left some items in her room, but the owners are posting them back to us. So very kind. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will definitely stay again.

A lovely little campsite and excellent value for money. Very basic amenities but everything is so close and the owners are very helpful.
What let it down for us were people being noisy up until midnight which kept us awake and the toilet facilities not being very clean. However we visited when the site was pretty much fully booked so I imagine less of an issue when it isn’t a peak summer holiday weekend.

There is a village with a couple of pubs and a café. One of the pubs does breakfast (The Sportsman's Bar), there is also the café which serves breakfast. The village is Tattenhall which is approx a mile from the campsite.
