Stayed Saturday and Sunday night on the third floor. Room was spotless and very comfortable and we both slept well with no disturbances. The lady who checked us in was polite, professional and friendly. I also asked one of the ladies on reception if we could borrow an iron, unfortunately they were all out but as soon as one was available she brought it to our room. The location is fantastic for the city centre and there is a Tesco express right next door if you want anything to take to your room. Parking was easy, we parked in the Grosvenor shopping center multi story car park for £10 per night and only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. The Bar cafe was shut during our stay so can't comment on that but there are lots of places to eat and drink very close by so it wasn't needed. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We booked this for the August bank holiday and it was perfect. There are 2 hotels by this group in Chester and this is the better choice. The other hotel is called Chester Central and we stayed there last year. Although it is in a nice location opposite the Roman Amphitheater it had a Bar on the opposite corner and you could hear the music until quite late. We also noticed the hotel (Travelodge Central) was advertising commercial space available on the ground floor and we thought it may be turned into a Bar and might be more of a disturbance, we were right, The Travelodge central Bridge street is definitely the better option, it’s only a stone’s throw away and a great hotel, the staff were fantastic and it was extremely clean and quiet at night. There is a Tesco situated underneath which closes at 23:00 which is very handy.

A good quality Hotel in a central location to visit Chester's amazing attractions, much quieter than expected due to being a main road location. Friendly staff and the rooms are super value, everything you need for a short break for our two nights. Everything was spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, air conditioning and a nice bathroom 'only slight complaint’ if it is, no opening window which would be a bonus for fresh air although there is efficient air conditioning system.
Tesco Express is underneath the venue which is really handy and the city centre is just a short stroll away.
Car parking is payable at nearby car parks with a % discount for overnight stays, Grosvenor centre is discounted and plenty of spaces.
My wife and I visit Chester often and Bridge Street is now our first choice for quality and value.

The location of the hotel is superb for a trip to Chester. I had a SuperRoom, which was not super, but very adequate and I appreciated the proper coffee machine. However, the shower head did not fit the bracket properly. When I reported this, I got the strong feeling that this fault was already known to the hotel, however the staff member to whom I reported it, the only member of staff that impressed me at all, did offer me a room change. Nonetheless, when I left 3 days later, the shower was still in this faulty condition and I suspect that it still is. On returning to my room on the day following, it had not been serviced, nor those of my 2 travelling companions. Apparently this was our fault as we had not hung out the ' Please service my room notice'. Neither had we hung out the 'Do not disturb' notice, but it seems in this hotel, if you don't ask for your room to be made up, it won't be. We had a problem at breakfast, the food and presentation of which was fine, that was wholly a result of negligence by the hotel staff, but my colleague had to take part in a wholly unacceptable conversation with staff. When I mentioned the problems at check-out, there was total disinterest and we received no apology at any time. There is a serious management/staff/staff training issue in this hotel, which is a shame as its location and newness could make it a hotel to which one would want to return. There is a feeling of 'let's do the minimum possible as anything is too much trouble'.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights when attending a friend’s wedding at the old Chester palace so the location was perfect for us just a 3 minute walk to the venue. In fact the central location of this hotel is perfect for anybody wanting to visit any of the many bars restaurants shops and places of interest in Chester city centre. The hotel itself looks and feels fairly new and as such was beautifully clean and exceptionally well presented. We parked in the Grosvenor shopping centre multistorey car park which cost £10 for 24 hours and is Literally just across the road from the hotel. We were checked in on arrival by the very efficient happy and smiling Jenna who’s customer service skills are second to none, she is a credit to travelodge. In fact all the staff we encountered during our stay were friendly and more than happy to help with any requests and gave service with a smile. Our room was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean and as this travelodge looks and feels fairly new the room felt very modern with air conditioning in the room usb points and electrical sockets each side of the bed with additional sockets around the room.We were in room 422 one of the super rooms on the top floor so we also had the benefit of mood lighting a coffee maker and a fantastic multifunction shower and 32” Tv. I would have no hesitation in recommending this travelodge to anybody wanting to stay in a beautifully clean city centre location with great reasonably priced parking only two minutes walk away.

My husband and I stayed overnight here on 7th July. We wanted to eat out in Chester at night and be able to both have a drink, so booked a room here. The location is really convenint for the shops in Chester: we had a nice day shopping and visiting a few pubs.
Inside, there were plenty of hand sanitiser dispensers and signs saying to use the lift only with members of your houshold. We had the lift to ourslves while we stayed there. We had a Super Room which was worth the bit extra, and I felt is was still good value. We had a nice coffee pod machine which made a lovely drink and quite a nice view out the window towards the river. The staff were lovely: we chatted about where we were going for tea and when we asked for some more milk and sugar they had thoughtfully made up little ziplock bags with what you needed inside, which I thought was a great touch.
I would certainly stay again.

The hotel is centrally located and on a main road, however we didn't hear any disrupting noise during our stay. Staff were welcoming and offered help to set up our room as it had been made up for 2 children rather than a small child and baby.
the staff on duty in the morning were also friendly and asked if everything was ok during breakfast ( some places I've stopped at the staff are half asleep in the morning!)
We had a comfortable night sleep and would definitely stop again.

Great location, lovely friendly staff and the super rooms are amazing value, everything you need apart from a fridge and mini bar. Everything was spotlessly clean, super comfortable beds, air conditioning and a nice bathroom. A Tesco Express is adjacent to the hotel which is really handy and the city centre is just a short stroll away. Car parking is payable at nearby car parks, Pepper street is discounted and the top floor was quiet during our stay. We visit Chester quite often and usually pay a lot more for accommodation, Bridge Street is now our first choice for quality and value.

Had to ring to book a room as website kept crashing. When it came to checking in, they didn’t have my confirmation in their system. So had to ring reservations and they told me whoever I booked it with over the phone put the wrong surname down. Room was ok, I think it’s shocking you have to pay £3 for WiFi especially when you’ve paid £58 for bed and breakfast. No tea or coffee supplements in the room, no shower gel or body wash, you have to go down and ask for them. They put me in a family corner room with one double and two singles, when I just asked for a double. Receptionist could do with a bit of customer service training. When checking out, no receptionist, until a lady came through 20 minutes later. Checked out but wanted to leave my bag but she told me just to leave it in the restaurant where people are sat and easy to lose my valuables. Travelodge need to improve on reservations and give their staff a little customer service training.

We stayed here on a Friday night before visiting Chester Zoo on the Saturday. The hotel is in a great central location and parking is easy at The Grosvenor shopping centre with a 70% discount to hotel guests. Check-in was friendly and efficient. Our room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed, and anything we did need was dealt with promptly by the friendly man on reception. The only thing I would say is the shower seemed to spray water around and onto the floor quite a bit, but we were able to mop this up with the spare towel provided. Also sometimes there is a sign on reception when staff are busy elsewhere in the hotel instructing customers to call a number if they need assistance, which seems a bit odd. Luckily we didn't need to do this as the staff were just across the way in the bar. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Yes. If you have a blue badge you can park in their car park which is attached to the travelodge. Just ask reception and they will let you in.
