An elegant and beautifully maintained Victorian residence,awarded a 5 star Gold Award rating from the AA and 5 star Gold award from Visit England, together with breakfast awards from both organizations. The house is situated an easy 20 minute walk into the City centre of Chester. We offer free parking and,a bus route into the city is situated outside the hotel. Thank you. The walk into Chester is a pleasant semi green stroll to the bridge over the River Dee from where a vista of the race-course and city opens up. Five more minutes brings you right into the ancient town with black and white half timbered buildings and quaint narrow streets.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and it is the only place to stay. Walking distance to the town and free parking. Nothing is too much trouble and breakfast is beautiful!! Just perfect!! Would recommend Mitchell's of chester !!

Very clean well decorated premises with the little touches provided to make you feel relaxed and at home. Good quality bedding and the bathroom completely up to date with a walk in shower in our room, although this had quite a narrow entrance. Anyone over a size 14 would find it
