Recently stopped with friends at Laburnum House, 11 July, Chester Races. We had booked this months in advance and was in two minds about cancelling the booking after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. Having spoken to the new owner, she said she would honour our booking at the price we paid and also we could check in early as...

In my opinion this is not nearly as bad as previous reviewers state, but agree it does need a refurb. New owners just in this week immediately deep clean and supply professionally laundered bedding. Commenced refurb today. Room by room, invited back at highly discounted rate to review rooms once refurbished. Will be a boutique style B&B. Great staff, great...

We booked this hotel for a treat for our daughter as it was her communion. We arrived, manager was nice enough! Entered in to a poverty struck house dated back in to the day it was built! I think it still has the original paint work! Bedroom, it was smelly, dirty, and in a terrible condition. The pictures was wonky,...

I have written a review before with nothing positive to say. Sadly I have to reiterate what an utterly awful place this is after 'having' to recently stay again! Words escape me just how utterly dreadful it is. There has been no investment in this b&b for years! It smells, it's filthy, the bedding and towels are thin, grey and...

We stayed here for three nights whilst working in the town at the Racecourse, and this little B&B couldn't be better placed - easy to walk into town in the evening and I was even able to walk to work each day and come back on Sunday afternoon to pick up the car - perfect! Yes, the rooms are faded...
