A delicious afternoon tea in a wonderful setting. There’s a lovely garden room to sit, eat, drink and pass the time on a nice, sunny day. The sandwiches and cakes are delicious and the service faultless.

My husband and I stayed for one night but would have stayed for more if we could! The rooms were modern, clean and spacious. As it was Christmas the Hotels decorations and Christmas Tree looked lovely. The staff were friendly, especially Beth in Reception, but they all had a welcoming smile. Fantastically situated for the River and Shops but parking could be problematic. I have a Blue Badge so wasn't too bad for me but we saw a few Parking Tickets outside. The breakfast was top notch but they did not seem to offer a Continental choice. This, of course, could have something to do with Covid etc. All in all, a really nice Hotel. If we were to go to Chester overnight again we would stay there and would definitely recommend it.

This was our second year at the Townhouse Chester for bottomless afternoon tea. Initially, we had a few issues with the sandwiches, which we emailed in advance to change for dietary requirements, but they were sorted quickly. The reason we've been back for two years running is because the staff are so friendly and accommodating especially Becky, she was so lovely and attentive always keeping our glasses topped up. The premises are decorated beautifully and festive for christmas, and has such a homely feeling. Very comfortable and completely relaxing even with the hustle and bustle of chester. What we'd really like to see, and hope management consider, that next year they mix it up a bit and do a bottomless Brunch or an untraditional afternoon tea like the Baltic in Liverpool. Because we would come back year after year. Management have a very lovely business with even lovelier staff. Thankyou for another fab Christmas Afternoon Tea.
