Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed 2 nights in a electric hookup tent. Brilliant facilities, clean toilets, clean showers next to the pool. Heated outdoor pool ( brilliant fun in the rain! ). Games room has a pool table, table tennis and table football. You will need to purchase or bring your own pingpong ball. Tennis court again bring your own rackets and ball. Shop on site closes at 5pm ish and sells the essentials. Caffe on site does breakfast and luches. Only negative was a few of the campers on site seemed to be smoking canabis and the waft was in the air ( each to their own but not at a family camp site please )

Thankyou Manor wood for making my family's first camping experience so great. We have two little grandaughters and you enabled grandparents to come and help with putting the tent up and settling .absolutely professional personable staff especially the lady and gentleman who enabled them to have the last slot for swimming .Will most definitely return Thankyou .

What a beautiful family fun campsite! All the staff are so nice, always a morning welcome and nothing is too much! The cafe on site is fab, and food is really tasty, the shop is handy too for the essentials. My children loved the games room and the hide out! And made loads of friends playing football! The pool is great! Never too busy and can always get booked in! And it’s heated so massive bonus with the lovely UK weather! It’s never too noisy and the views are lovely! It is definitely somewhere we will revisit! So thank you!

Great spot, wonderful pitch by one of the lakes. The perfect place to pick our cabanon guadeloupe tent. The campsite was immaculate with a new toilet block right by our tent. The food at the cafe Lakeview was spectacular, we need not have bothered to take our camp stove. The Pizza's were to die for, I loved the fish and chips and the breakfast was second to none. They even sell beer for when you run out, the staff were extremely pleasant. We will be going back, possibly even in September as it is not far from our house.

Very dirty, the toilets never get cleaned just new toilet roll, zip ties around the taps. The pool was a milky colour with green around the sides. I had some test strips in my car the chlorine was low and the ph level high so probably full of pee, my children wasn't allowed back in after testing it. It needs a chlorine shock get it clean. 2 labradors barking constantly. Teenagers hanging around in the toilets. Very disappointing for the price will stick to ty Mawr or presthaven sands

Wow - what can a say ... this person's dog bit a customer to the extent the bite bled, the same dog nipped a 3 year old ! This was a police matter and the customer was asked to leave.

We just wanted to provide some feedback after our stay with you. The site is lovely as always and very well kept, however one thing this year which really let the site down was the lack of cleaning in the ladies toilets and bathrooms. This is our 3rd time to the site last being 3/4 years ago and is something that attracted us to the site how clean and well looked after the toilets/showers were kept and cleaned twice a day. This was a massive let down for us this year. We stayed for 5 nights on pitch 14 so close to the block and only saw a cleaner once the whole time and to be honest it still wasn’t much better. It was really disappointing to see and feel manor wood is definitely lacking in this area. We spoke to other people who came to our toilet block as there’s were really unclean too. Maybe after feedback this is something that can be looked at as we wouldn’t return without seeing an improvement.

The caravan/camping site is very well kept and decent facilities within the campsite. The facilities.heated Swimming pool, shower n toliet blocks very clean. Games room with pool table, table football and table tennis. Reception, mini shop, cafe with outdoor area, tennis court, fishing ponds. Overall the trip was great, the food in the cafe was average, and service average. Reception ladies were very polite though. If you fancy a meal out about 2 min drive or 10min walk there is a restaurant called cock obarton, the service in there was impeccable and the food wow it was delicious. Definitely be visiting there again for food. Manor wood is a lovely place and well worth a visit. We will be going again in the future for sure.

Superb campsite 🏕️ Facilities were spotless. The swimming pool was great (booking system was run smoothly and observed by all). Pitches size were generous. We had delicious pizza on the night we arrived. Spoke to two wardens who were just lovely - one warden did do the rounds approx 10:30pm just to say about quiet times (we weren’t causing any issue, he was just doing a round and spoke to everyone) We used the showers/ playground/swimming pool/ cafe/ play areas/ wash up area - all we’ll kept and clean - Highly recommend 10/10

We stayed at manor wood last week 9/9/22 to 16/9/22 there was a party of 8 adults 1 x 18 month and 1 x 7week old baby. I can honestly say when we arrived and went in we were blown away by the house it was amazing!!!. The pictures don’t do it justice, we didn’t want for anything. I’m a keen fisherman, I had the best weeks fishing caught a few large carp and loads of roach of varying sizes. The rest of the family enjoyed the pool table, tennis courts and heated swimming pool. We had breakfast in the on site cafe, great food, good price and served by lovely people really set you up for the day! Had a day at Chester zoo 20 mins away and if you have children in the party you must visit the ice cream farm our grandson had a ball 10 mins away £2.50 admission. Night time we ate out at the Cheshire Cat fantastic food and ate at the house, the cafe do pizzas to order if you don’t feel like cooking. I have read a few reviews complaining about creaking floors! is called character and added to the experience. We didn’t want to go home, but I can assure you that we will be back. If there was anything that could say would help my stay it would be a handrail down to the fishing platform as I’m not to steady on my feet these days ( by no way a complaint) thanks guys for a memorable family holiday.
